this has nothing to do with hybrids.

any car that gets high mileage fits the bill (and a good number of "hybrid" get really pathetic mileage).

I hope it hits $4. I'm still seeing tons of trucks and SUV's with cardboard dealer plates on them, I guess people are still justifying based on rebates.

I thought this was an interesting story. The media, I think, will not mention it as they may create a bit of "oil scare" and cause gas prices to immediately increase near the $4 level. Gas prices in OH got near $3.60 a month ago...so $4 is not too far away. Yippeee...NOT!

Chewy,
Gas goes up, diesel goes up. Only difference is gas will eventually go down.
Diesel just north of Toronto has been stuck at $1.10L for the last 3+ months while gas hovered around $0.93 to $0.99.

Diesel has kept pace with gas for over a year now in the US.

I remember when diesel was $0.55/L about 5 or 6 years ago, gas was in the mid 60s. I wonder how those diesel meat heads like their cars now? I'd hate to see what happens if diesel gains another 1% market share, last time diesel had hype like that, diesel fuel prices doubled.
