2008 Infiniti G37 Coupe
Two-door brother to the G35 sedan gets a bigger engine and more power for 2008.
BY JARED GALL AND STEVE SILER, March 2007

New York is the place where we will get our first look at the 2008 Infiniti G37 coupe, the saucy two-door accompaniment to the conservatively styled new 2007 G35 sedan. Since the G35 sedan impressed us enough to take a spot on our 2007 10Best Cars list, we are quite eager to try on the coupe. Judging from the concept we first saw a year ago, as well as how the production G35 sedan turned out, we don’t expect a major change in the appearance of the car but instead a honing of the previous look accompanied by significant changes to what you don’t see but feel.

Specifically, we're pretty sure the coupe's VQ-derived V-6 will offer a bump in displacement from 3.5 liters to 3.7, with a commensurate increase in horsepower and torque. We also expect the 2008 coupe to have a stiffer structure and improved steering, brakes, and shifter, as we have noted in the sedan. After the G37 coupe debuts in New York, we’ll start to see the cars in Infiniti showrooms this fall.

This is one hell of a car even the current generation is awesome, so it's safe to assume this one will rock... kudos to infiniti, coz after all the barely 18y old!

There's no need for a V8 nvme because Nissan is bringing the new GTR to America and it's gonna consist of the same engine as the G37 but with a couple of Turbo Chargers with 10 psi of boost which will raise the power to more than 450 HP. This car will not only smoke the Uglyass IS-F but will try to take the throne of the 911. Notice that I said "try", because eventhough I am a fan of the Skyline, I always respect th 911.

Now that it'll have a 3.7L, why not offer a 2.7L+ or -, Nissan? That'll be equivalent to the BMW 328i. Some of us don't need/want 325 HP; we'd like to have decent fuel mileage and with a 2.7 or 2.8L V6 it would have brisk acceleration.
Any of you guys know if Nissan has a smaller V6 in its arsenal?

Great vehicle! Looks, Speed and Luxury all in one. I had the G35 for 3 years and have absolutely no complains, except driving in the snow of course. I think the G37 is #1 in its class. Back up 335 before you get f*cked up haha

I think it should be a G40 to try to battle the M3.

i think for pure driving excitement the 335i is the way to go... if you cant afford it or just dont like its simple looks than go with this.. it is a very nice engine

2007 G35 Sedan(Middle east edition) already produce 327BHP, so expect upwards of 327BHP.

I guess 340BHP-350BHP.Oh my God.It will be untouchable.

All in all,Stunning.Best in it's class.

"Handles too good?" I like them both... but there's no evidence that the Infiniti handles better.

I doubt you've driven the 335i coupe, much less the yet-to-be-released G37.
