I really like this car and the sport model only makes it better. I am glad they kept the wood vs. doing a carbon fiber or aluminum trim thing. I have never liked either one. The rims and the body kit make it look especially low and fast.

I don't know... I think the interior of this car would look amazing with carbon fiber.

BTW, it's available with aluminum, but not carbon.

Yes, yes, yes!! I've always loved sports models but i hate when they do carbon fiber or aluminum interiors. Why can't I have the sport exterior with the wood luxury interior! (AMG, I'm looking at you)

I don't like the front bumper. Looks like the front-end got more bulbous. The rest of the car is amazing.

If I were in the market for a midsize sedan, this would be my pick hands down. The resale value is comparable to a 5 series and the car looks great. Many say the G was Infiniti's 1st victory, and I agree to a certain extent, but I think the M is the real victory for Infiniti. It was the 1st car they produced that cost over 50 grand that was taken seriously. I love the Q45, but honestly, no one has ever taken that car seriously. The M is a real contender, however, Infiniti needs to invest more in their auto tranny's , the 5 speed auto is a good gearbox, but the M series fuel economy is just not that great even in the M35. I think a tall 6th gear for cruising would go a long way in the M.

great value, but if I can afford $55k I can afford the competitors and I'd still take a 535, 550 (Sport), A6 4.2 or E550.

i have had a M45 sport for just over 2 years and can't be happier. Interior looks mostly the same (I have the wood package) I like the exterior changes and can't wait for 2009 when the M50 comes out with a 390bhp!!! That car will kick some serious ass!!!! just in time for when my lease is up.

Infiniti did an excellent job on the M, no wonder it has been so successful for them.

The car looks classier and more refined now. Kudo's!

Right, as if the Acura TL or TSX are worth buying over the G35... LOL.

this thing looks a bit over the top, it looks like an old gs that 16 year old got a hold to and a gaudy body kit on it. everytime i see things with all that chrome, and ground effects i want to laugh, that would have made a nice nissan maxima though, but looks to garish to be a car in its price range

I'm impressed with the changes. I'm glad they toned down the rear tial lights a bit. The body kit for the sport model really ads a nice touch! Hands down, Infiniti/Nissan designs some of the best looking wheels in the car business.

I remember reading a French car forum when this car came out and how they were wishing this car were in France and comparing it to the 5-series, I'm really curious to how Infiniti will do in Europe when they bring this model

Very, very nice. Although the front skirt is suspiciously similar to AMG's, it still retains its own Infiniti appeal and the new taillamps are an improvement.

Interior is the same, but that's not a bad thing.

If I were looking at this class, the M would be in my top three, for sure. I'd probably take an M45 Sport over the rest, in fact.

The aging TL'S interior and exterior for that matter is far more superior tahn the G35 considering it bit the TL's design scheme study the side by side photo's and tell me I'm wrong. Also the G is cramped, plus why am I arguing the TL is not in the G's class, it's a mid size sedan not a teenage compact sedan, TL's materials are better and has more technology even though we are now in it's fith year. Wait until next year when Acura drops the 3.5 standard with all-wheel drive and then we can talk.
Remember 03 when the TL was introduced first for many technoligical advancements, and at 270HP it was class leading, I smell a repeat. As for the TSX that can be more compared to the G, I don't have much to say as I have driven one a few times it is underpowered but handles well and the ride is smoother than my TL. TSX will improve also when it's redesigned in the spring of 08.

Looks like any Infinti/Nissan, which means it looks like the old VW Passat. Still a 5 speed auto or does it finally get a new tranny?

Nice though.

When I look at that car, one word comes to mind- bland.

The styling is just too safe for it to be considered 'good looking', it is really nothing to write home about.

The interior at least tries harder.

Matthew isn't a BMW enthusiast.

43LE, one thing about you annoys me. If Matthew says something stupid and opinionated, you don't have to say the same thing back, and act like he was the only one being "bad." I know it sounds like I'm talking to a little kid, but on this website, sometimes I have to! Be the bigger person and ignore it!

why is it just because its his opinion its stupid, this is a blog, and second styling is subjective SUBJECTIVE=OPINION, so just because someone doesnt like this bland overchromed, juvenile psuedo luxury car's styling there not suppose hence styling being subjective. and the 5 series obviously is loved because its killing this thing in sales.

Oh so my comment was completely ridiculous?

Rich coming from 43LE. Tell me 43, how many times have you ACTUALLY posted comments relating to cars? Most often you are merely an irritating commentator of others who use this site.

Now was my comment totally unreasonable? Did it strike you as having an arrogant tone? Do I sound like a 'fanboy' to you?

Congratu-bloody-lations if Infiniti managed to design a sedan that is completely perfect in every way. I mean in the design world it is known only the Italians can pull that one off, but obviously an American market-only Infiniti has just joined that club.

Except for the fact that I think this sedan looks mediocre. The chrome strips on the boot lid look like an after-thought to try and make it look 'upmarket', the shapeless front bumper makes the car look porky, and the rear lights look like an after-thought.

Regurgitate that.

Looks good from some angles, but not great from others. White is definitely 'the' colour at the moment though. Interior looks quite nice too, I like that matt finished wood. :)
