2008 New Dodge Charger SRT8
The 2008 Dodge Charger SRT8 packages all of the features and amenities expected of an excellent family sedan combined with benchmark performance delivered by Chrysler Group’s Street and Racing Technology (SRT) vehicles.

For the Dodge Charger SRT8, key SRT ingredients include 6.1-liter, 425-horsepower (317-kW) HEMI power, world-class ride and handling, benchmark braking, functional and aggressive-looking exterior enhancements, and a race-inspired interior.

The all-around performance of the 2008 Dodge Charger SRT8 is outstanding for a muscle sedan: 0-60 mph in the low 5-second range, quarter-mile time in under 14 seconds, braking distance from 60-0 mph in approximately 110 feet and 0.89 g on the skid pad. What I like about this vehicle is that its engine has some great internal components and no cylinder deactivation. Chrysler marketing should be highlighting the technical features of the SRT engine instead of short selling the vehicle without this important disclosure.

I agree. Too bad the dealer doesnt have any in stock here (UAE). But it can be ordered.

What I like about the Charger is the price and the interior. It doesnt feel cheap like the rest of their line up. It feels very solid. The space you get in the front and rear seats is huge, and the leather seats feel very comfortable. The 5.3 hemi V8 engine is also brilliant. It has good power and acceptable fuel efficency. My uncle has one and I test drove it.

M53R, I disagree.
The Charger's interior is absolutely dire...Top Gear even said "It almost makes you feel sorry for the Americans".
Cheap hard plastics, way too many different colours and textures, nasty painted plastic in the console...ugh.

You know, I think what made the interior good enough for me is that it has 'hard' plastic not the cheap plastic in almost all american cars. It feels solid, unlike the one in my Tahoe... and I do have a long experience with American quality... But this one was better than anything American. Dont forget top gear is biased against american cars.. even though some of the statements may be true.

Chrysler definitely makes the worst interiors. Followed by Ford and GM.

There's really nothing new about the '08 Charger SRT 8. Give it a 500hp 6.1 Hemi and make the 425hp Hemi the engine for the R/T for 30K and I'll start listening. It's still an ugly car too. I hope designers are busy making it look more like a 2nd generation Charger. They'd probably sell twice as many.

As long as chrysler allows it's dealers to run rampant with over charging (like what is going to happen with the challenger) I will NEVER buy ANY of their products.

And I don't care about the market forces, capitalism arguement. Over charging is over charging
