2008 PORSCHE 911 TURBO CABRIO UP FOR SALE ON EBAY !!!
This must be one of our most intriguing posts on ebay by far; not only is the vendor selling a practically non-existing 2008 Porsche 911 Turbo Cabriolet that we’ve only seen in spy pics, but he’s also estimated the price of the car along with a bunch of extras including natural brown leather sports seats, parking assist and Sport Chrono package, at 143.000 USD (106.500 EUR). And that doesn't include destination charges!
But wait, it gets even better. Leaving aside the fact that he posted a… spy pic of the upcoming 997 Turbo Cabriolet, check out this footnote: “The car has been shipped from Stuttgart Germany. Will be delivered to LOS ANGELES, CALIFORIA sometime between Spring/Summer 2007”. So if I’m not mistaken, a production version of the 997 Turbo Cabriolet is in a ship on its way to LA as we are speaking?

same thing that happens with all "big debut" sports cars. We saw it with the M5, M6...frequent dealership customers or dealerships themselves get first dibs on a new model and send in an order for their car...then before the car is even produced, they turn around and sell the car on Ebay for profit. Who knows when the car will actually arrive.

Or, like LLL said above, it could be a scam.

Sounds like he might be a dealership, and he could have been early to put in his order.

Who knows.

no, he's probably just a guy who's smart of enough to make a quick buck by purchasing a car he knows can be resold for FAR over list price.

this is pretty common. basically, this guy has put down a non-refundable deposit that guarantees him one of the first cars. he's just going to flip his place in 'line.'

This almost no different from those who threw down a deposit for the Sony Playstation 3 to only sell the unit after taking them home.
