Demonstrating that its initial compact 4×4 does not only have style by also substance, the recently inaugurated Renault Koleos has garnered a number of titles at Planet 4×4 publication’s 2008 awards, as well as the ‘4×4 of the Year’ award.
Driving off tough rivals from 47 hardy contenders, as well as long-time favorites like the Land Rover Discovery and Range Rover, the French brand’s initial incursion into the 4×4 arena succeeded at the onset over the Honda CR-V, recently-inaugurated Ford Kuga and Vw Tiguan to attain the ‘Compact SUV’ designation, prior to winning the ‘Best Newcomer’ and the general ‘4×4 of the Year’.
