2009 BMW 3 Series Facelift: New exhaust :)
Love the new exhaust on the 2009 BMW 3 Series Facelift. Unique, impressive and it really stands out.

We're joking of course, but it was quite funny to see the long unfinished piece of metal sticking out of the rear end.

This reminds me of the BMW 7 Series that was spotted a while back having some plastic tubes on the top of the hood. http://www.bmwblog.com/2008/03/28/2009-bmw-7-series/

It's all fun and games until the Japanese and Koreans start copying it.

The only thing missing is a little spoiler ontop to increase the cars downforce and give it better handling charicteristics.

Hmm... I think BMW might have taken the LF-A up on the "Most ridiculous exhaust"-challenge... Sorry couldn't help it!

I wonder what that is about! Maybe they are doing "submersion" tests so they don't want water to get into the exhaust... Maybe a new diesel engine... Hmm...

I think this is the answer to the high gas prices...
What you see there, it's a stove pipe... :)

According to BMW insiders that exhaust dohicky is actually a snorkle which will allow the BMW 3 series to motor at high speeds under water.

I think it's a snorkel for fording deep water.
