2009 BMW 6-Series with New Sport Package

BMW is busy these days as it prepares to launch not only the new 7-Series, but issue mid-cycle refreshes to the 3-Series and the 6-Series.

A new sport package has been added to both the Coupe and Convertible 6-Series that includes a new hood, updated M Sports suspension along with new 19-inch rims.  The prerequisite M Steering wheel along with sport seats and several new or updated colors round out the changes.

Although not mentioned, expect similar changes to the M6 sometime soon.

BMW used to build car with short overhang. What happened?

The overhangs on this car haven't changed since it was introduced in late 2003. Where have you been?

The 2009 6-series will recieve also the new iDrive as can be seen from the interior picture with the new iDrive display. I would think since the 6er is getting the new iDrive that the E60 5-series will recieve it as well.

Not really a fan of the color of wood inside the car but it looks better than the model when they first came out.

To me, the worst part was always the rear end...still is.

There's no way you can revise the rear end to take away the bangle butt.

That's just a stupid statement. The 6 Series interior is a beautiful design with incredible details and proportion throughout. I much prefer the understated interior design of BMW than the WalMart boom-box look in every Japanese car I sit in. It isn't surprising, they come from the same "designers".

If you want to see a design house operating at the pinnacle of creativity check out this if you have the sack for it:

"That is what happens when you make it out of plastic, recycled aluminum cans, and low quality pleather."

you're right Staar, you're totally NOT just a troll, as evidenced by beautiful and poignant posts such as this. What was I thinking? Obviously well thought out, rational and reasonable logic such as this could only come from a non-troll. I apologize whole heartedly for doubting your integrity.

Moron.

I agree, looks like a parrot fish from the front end, and the rear is probably the worst ever designed...

Much rather have a sexy Jag XKR in black or gray:-)

Ugly inside and out. I couldn't believe how poor the inside was built. Amazing people drop major coin on this sub-par car.
Jag XK anyone?

That looks more BMW than it ever has. The front goes back to its roots. No more slanty front headlights that looks like many other brands.

Not as agressive of a sport package as we usually get from BMW, but still looks good. I dig the wheels too. very simple and sporty. When is it due for a full refresh to clean up the rear?
