2009 BMW M3 Sedan
While BMW is getting ready to put the finishing touches on the M3 Coupe version that’ll debut in Frankfurt this autumn, Bimmer fans are already sharpening their “pencils” to give us a preview of the M3 Sedan & Cabriolet (coupe-cabrio) versions that are expected to be introduced in late 2008 – early 2009. Both renderings are the work of BWM fanatic, Gerald Alvarez. As with the M3 Coupe, the sedan and cabriolet versions will be fitted with a BMW M5 V10 derived, 4.0-liter V8 engine delivering more than 400Hp. Read Article

Looks very nice and aggressive. It looks like the sport package rims for the 328i coupe but much more aggressive. The one on the 328i is already nice but this takes it up a notch and very much expected if it's going to be an M3 model.

I think it looks good. But as for 09 it's a bit late. They should come out the same year the M3 coupe does.

^I agree. By 2009, Audi will already be making the next RS4/RS5 (hopefully).

It's too bad those rims aren't exactly like the ones on the 328i Sport Package, but pretty close just not as wide and deep looking.

The RS4/S5 will be very nice.

I'm planning on getting the 328i next year. What do you think?

Compared to coupe, the rear of the sedan is a disaster. So busy and so fat! Mammamia!

Nice!

I'm guessing that isn't a real picture, but I love the rims, and it's quite well-done.

The only thing I'd change is the rear valance. It looks overdone. It would look less out-of-place on the coupe, though.

I agree, the rear looks overdone, mainly the parts right above the quad exhaust. The quad exhaust is a hot addition and much needed to be a traditional M series car. It looks great though. I'd imagine it would sell pretty well.

Nice. They gave the sedan the front-end of the coupe.

I like it. It doesn't look over wrought in the front like the IS-F does. This and the IS-F will make the RS4 look like it is on lower level. I think that when the comparisons come out of the M3 4-door and the IS-F, it will be close.

Bye, Bye, RS4!

You keep telling yourself that....
lack for a manual on the IS-F will hurt it right there.

The IS-F won't be in contention. I can tell you that now.

Until Lexus wakes up and its "performance" brand offers a manual, they will be of the same fate as AMG- powerful, but unengaging "performance" sedans.

AMGs are "unengaging?"

Mercedes makes the fastest cars with automatic transmissions. No company makes them better. The engines in the CL65, the Zonda, and etc are proof.

I got some info from a trusted source that the bodykit will look different than the coupe. The rear bumper wll look close to that of the M5. Also, the front will have the smile (on the M5/M6). Ofcourse thats more of a rumour, and we will have to wait and see. Im sure BMW will do it again!
