Chevrolet announced the official power rating for the 2009 Corvette ZR1 this week at 638-hp and 604 lb-ft of torque.

That’s 18-hp and 9 lb-ft over the original specs released at the 2008 Detroit Auto Show.

Now what’s interesting is the 2009 Cadillac CTS-V shares major components with the ZR-1 such as the supercharged 6.3 liter small-block V8, except with a smaller Eaton compressor. The CTS-V is even known as Caddy’s ZR1 sedan.
