The new and improved 2010 Mercedes-Benz E-Class has been officially revealed. With a new sleek look and more than 20 new technical developments, 30 percent greater rigidity and an engine lineup that consumes up to 23 percent less fuel than before, the 2010 Mercedes-Benz E-Class is the probably the best E-Class ever offered from Daimler. Mercedes-Benz says that all the engines for the new E-Cass meet the EU5 emission standard. The E 350 BlueTEC’s emissions-levels are already below the EU6 limits planned for 2014.

The BlueEFFICIENCY package for the 2010 E-Class plays a large part in offering considerable fuel-savings. Mercedes-Benz engineers from every department worked together to save fuel by reducing weight and optimizing aerodynamics. Other BlueEFFICIENCY measures taken include tires with up to 17 percent lower rolling resistance, energy-saving control of the generator, fuel pump, air conditioning compressor and power steering, and the ECO start/stop function.
