The Dino is on, the Dino is off, the Dino is on; how many posts have you read about Ferrari’s hypothetical plans for reviving the Dino nameplate in the near future? Certainly more times than you can handle.

So the hell with Ferrari! A Portuguese designer named Ernesto Freitas decided to take action and build a real-life size prototype of a future Ferrari Dino without any Ferrari involvement at all!

Overall nice looking shape, but the headlamps could be done better, maybe with the lamp being flush and to follow the contour of the front wheel arches.

It is rather funny how the car that Ferrari thought of as the bastard child of his company- he wouldn't even allow his name to be put on it, hence the "Dino" script badges- became an icon and the template for many other Ferraris

What I have read is that Enzo blatantly refused to have the prancing pony placed on a car that had such a small engine- and such a mid mounted engine. It was named Dino as a compromise and its engine developed for F2.
