Interior looks really nice, it is almost more like the Acura's. Exterior, doesn't look like much has changed, but the nose is a bit more toned down. Probably for crash regulations, but I think it makes it look tamer.

The outside looks a bit better but that interior looks like it received the most attention and it is very impressive.

A real backwards step. That grill is ridiculous. If they would have asked me I would have designed a nice one for them. A sixth grader could have come up with a better grill than the one they came up with.
News Flash!! The '09 Sonata grill has be designed by fired Russian designers of the '76 Lada who are now living in Siberia!!

You know, that was my first thought, too... the extra chrome makes it look cheaper, like some sort of Chinese "luxury sedan" knockoff. It is actually reminiscent of the family sedans they made several years ago. Not good. But the interior is a massive improvement.

I challenge car makers to offer the customer a choice of 2 or 3 different grilles so that everyone will be more happy.

I think this makes the car look even cheaper. That grille is hideous.

agreed, with these upgrades, no questions asked, the best. We'll see how the new Malibu does. Question is, why is GM not putting a navi system in?

I agree it is still the best value of all the mid-sizers offered in the U.S. PERIOD. This must keep the folks at Honda and Toyota awake at night. Coming from a guy who has owned Honda's and Toyota's, I say well done Hyundai.
