Infiniti today announced pricing on the 2009 Infiniti G37 Sedan and Infiniti G37 Coupe, which go on sale at Infiniti dealers nationwide on November 5, 2008.

Both the G37 Sedan and G37 Coupe receive extensive revisions for the new model year:

-G37 Sedan features a new 328-horsepower 3.7-liter V6 engine with VVEL (Variable Valve Event and Lift) technology
-G37 Coupe adds a new all-wheel drive model, the Infiniti G37x Coupe AWD, with the advanced ATESSA E-TS™ intelligent all-wheel drive system
-Both G37 Sedan and G37 Coupe also offer a new 7-speed automatic transmission with Drive Sport (DS) mode and Adaptive Shift Control (ASC)
-Both offer standard Scratch Shield paint

The Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) for the 2009 Infiniti G37 Sedan with 7-speed automatic transmission starts at $33,250. The 2009 Infiniti G37 Coupe with 7-speed automatic transmission is $35,900, with the new G37x Coupe AWD priced at $38,700. Four models are available for both Sedan and Coupe, including Sport models with 6-speed manual transmissions.

I want to see a review on the G37x coupe 7speed. If they would just turbo the engine, they'd have a winner on their hands.

I beleive so...having owned a 3 series prior and currently an M35 sport, my out of pocket maintenance has maybe been $1000 top (all oil changes and scheduled maintenance) - I have almost 50K miles. So my answer would be yes. Note that "4 years" can be closer to 3 years if you drive a lot. Infiniti definitely has the value and the performance as long as you like the style (and the quality and finish has picked up). BMW does have better driving dynamics overall, but for usually a $5000+ difference, pick your pleasure

Note - I loved my '01 330Ci

The maintenance for 4 years is misleading to some degree. After your initial oil change for example, the maintenance oil changes are about every 15k miles since they're supposingly using synthetic oil. There are a few other items like this too. I'd rather have the lower cost, and decide if I want to pay the dealer to do it or take it to another oil change service place. That's a lot of money difference to pay for "maintenance". But I guess the BMW folks don't worry about money??

You really don't compare the 3-series to the G37 in power, pwerformance, and design wise. The G37 is just an superior car, and BMW is just a name.

Having never driven the G-series it's hard to say, but I feel pretty confident that anyone having driven the 335i would love it. Take a smooth twin-turbo that effortlessly gets to 100mph in a blink, brakes with zero fade and the ability to take offramps doing 65-70 without a hint of bodyroll and no out of pocket expenses (beyond tires) for 4 years is very tempting.

I test drove a 37xS Sedan and it's much faster and tighter than the outgoing G35. However Infiniti Canada has drastically lowered the buy-back and a 2009 will cost you about 150$ more per month that an '08.

MT SH-AWD TL coming next year now that will do 60-70 on an off ramp and leave this piece of shit in dust that will most likely have transmission problems because it's new and Nissan didn't make it that is why they are not putting it in the M.

This car really needed the 7 speed badly, my freinds 07 G35x, eats gas like crazy. Amazing car though.

Teknik for your info I am not a little boy I own two houses and drive an 04 TL that was paid off in 1 1/2 years, I don't need to prove anything. Recent test proved the MT transmission TL crushed the G and I don't think the increase in HP will help Infiniti. Call the TL ugly if you want atleast it doesn't look bland and already outdateed as the G looks.

Gotta add my 2 cents here. I owned a 2001 CL Type S that lost it's transmission @ 21K miles. This was a huge problem for Acura according to my dealer. So much for Acura tranmissions. My 2005 TL had a dash that faded and warped, a rattle in the suspension, a sagging head liner and bumpers whose color didn't match the rest of the car. My 2007 G35x, although not perfect, is a much better car in every way compared to either of the Acuras I've owned. Fast and furious and after 20k miles is as tight as the day I bought it.
The looks of the 2009 TL remind me of the horrid Pontiac Aztec. Now we know where design engineers from Pontiac were hired after Lutz fired them.
