As much as I want to see the new Lincoln do well I think this is just a gimmick to take peoples minds off them not using a proper V8. Caremakers are full of gimmicks, remember "Wide Track" and "Ram Air"?

I hope it's a great car.........and I read that the show car was heavily re-designed with cues from the MKR show car, because so many found the presented design bland. Sure hope so.

If the twin turbo car has good performance, and good economy, Ford might, for once, have the right product at the right time............

This engine is better than a proper V8. Especially when you consider the 4.4L put in the S80 was the rumored powerplant. I'll take this engine everytime.

sounds like a great idea to me- I'll be the first to admit how sceptical I was when BMW decided to go the twin-turbo route for the now 335, 535, etc. Boy was I ever wrong! Hopefully the guys at FoMoCo can get it right. It's reasonable to assume around 400HP/400 lb-ft torque from somewhere around 3.5L engine with twin turbos....

of course, this is all assuming they can build the thing with the neccessary quality to seriously compete! Don't even get anyone started about the issues with the new PowerStroke diesels (last TWO generations!!).....

The early returns on the 3.5L are very good from what I gather from customers. Long term durability is still to be determined though.

If it has cylinder deactivation, I don't want it.

The article makes it sound like only the V8 will have cylinder deactivation.

Yes- The styling is a little timid. I would have preferred more "interceptor styling"

'Twin Force' sounds like its from star wars. What's with American cars and lame names?
