It was announced by Mazda Motor Corporation just recently that the inauguration of the refurbished Mazda Roadster, also known as the MX-5 abroad, into the markets of Japan. Mazda’s uprated legendary lightweight, top-down sports vehicle is set to go on sale today, December 9, 2008, at all dealers of both Mazda and Mazda Anfini all over Japan.

MSRP, which includes consumption tax, begin from 2,330,000 ($25,300 or €19,600) to 2,600,000 yen ($28,260 or €21,880) for the soft roof versions, and from 2,680,000 ($29,130 or €22,560) to 2,950,000 yen ($32,000 or €24,840) for the Power Retractable Hard Top (RHT) variants that highlights Mazda’s innovative electric roof scheme.
