It looks nothing like the hot Exiga Concept unveiled at the Tokyo Auto Show. I thought the forester would be losely based on exiga

I hope the 2009 Forester has window frames on the doors. These frames are needed to ensure that the window is properly guided to a closed position to avoid wind noise due to air leaks. The Forester also needs larger more comfortable seats and adjustable seat cushion length for both front seats. Both front sets should have identical power adjustments and none of this crap that some manufacturers pull on us by omitting front seat height adjustment on the passenger side.

Look-It's an SUV.It's never going to win the miss style award. It's practical, roomy, well put together, you can see out of the thing(somthing that does not apply to all SUV's)and is reasonably priced.I would take it over a Rav 4 or Honda CRV.

Forester is like a dependable running back in football, nothing flashy but it doesn't fumble and gets the 3 and 1 to keep the drive alive?

Subaru designers are so not creative.Even I can design that simple , unattractive front.

Noone has said anything about this yet...

Alright I guess I'll be the first.

Who in their right mind put a SECOND driver side mirror on the bonnet? What is it supposed to look like a hood mounted tack or somthing. Honestly, I am a huge fan of Subaru and support the concept of 'Ugly Fast' but now we are entering the world of friggin' rediculous.

Seriously Subaru...the WRX is getting its doors blown off in the looks comparison by the EVO and now this is your new entry into the the CUV market.

Is somone over in Scooby land TRYING to kill the brand?

thats only for the JDM, since the government requires all suvs and up with those side mirrors.

Well I do believe in general terms that Subaru appears to be designed challenged. But beautiful design on an SUV is less critical then on a sedan or coupe. Other than the stupid mirror on the bumper the basic design is essentially unassuming and bland. However you have to agree it is certainly practical. One of the great things about the Forester is that you can see out the back. That... I think is important when you have passenger cars come up behind or beside you. Too many SUV's succumb to being more stylized and are difficult to see out of. The Rav 4 for example. That stupid spare tire robs the driver of precious rear vision when backing up or changing lanes.(The rear window is smaller then the previous version) The Forester in previous and now current form has a great rear window view. Too me that's a good safety feature. The Mazda CX7 and CX9 are certainly style stars. Again because of the height of these vehicles your field of vision is altered. It is vitally important that you can see easily out of them. The Forester has excellent side and rear vision. To me that's a selling point. Another is with the turbo it's not exactly slow and handles reasonably well.If you want style buy a sports car!

its a great pkg, theres even a panoramic sunroof. drives well in all conditions too. I might change my plans from a legacy to find a used forester.

I maintain "situational awareness" when I drive, so I usually see the automobile behind my huge 17" spare tire on my 07 RAV. But with my V6, very rarely do I worry about what's behind me.
