Dont mess with something thats good (eclass isnt bad, so why change it up). The interior should have been upscale from the start and Chrysler should never cheapened the entire vehicle, in other words, no 2.7L, no plastic rims, LED turn/brake signals, etc.

Yes-It will still be based off the same old e-class platform with an updated body and revised interior.

300 looks way better than what Daimler designed! This goes for the Cherokee too. Even though it will only be a facelift/interior refresh rather than a complete redesign it is a good start. Daimler put Chrysler in a very poor situation after the divorce.

wow so finally the grand cherokee will have a good interior? i dont know what they were thinking with the current generation one. the car is decent. My dad wanted to buy one but just couldn't get over the cheap dash board plastic and dash. Ended up getting a toyota land cruiser prado instead.

the old E-class platform is more solid then the new cheap ones they push out now, not sure about the 2009 E

The front of the Jeep looks like its returning to the MY2004 design which is nicer, however, Jeep has lost its way since this one looks designed more to pound pavement than rocks. It appears to have lower clearance ande the tires won't have enough rubber to grip.

The interior is much better.

Is it just me or does this look like another cheap attempt to stay afloat with these two "all new" vehicles? As in previous posts, arguments were about how Chrysler has done nothing but updated the looks of current models, to justify staying alive. There is no concrete plan as to being viable and surviving through the economic slump. Its just prolonging the inevitable bankruptcy. They need the bailout funds to pay its principals and leave the debts to the new owner if there is one.

I know Chrysler has an agreement with VW for the Routan (just a rebaged Caravan) but was it in exchange for taking the Touareg design and rebadging it as a Jeep? Because the two look awfully similar just look at the back half especially the C-pillar.
