Death Valley is the home to test cars from all different models and makes, but when you make the trip there you can only hope to be graced by a prototype vehicle so special like these shots of the new 2010 Mercedes-Benz E-class.

Our friend Rich at Automotivetraveler.com believes that this vehicle being tested was the replacement for the E500 "judging from the wheel/tire combination." We would have to agree.

The front end looks similar to the SL. The rear... the CLC, and Im hoping I would be wrong about the rear.

this car will be released in the states at this time next year. we should have show models at the dealership in june-july. release for sale by august. get ready--it's a winner.
