2010 Mercedes GLK350 4MATIC Launched China
Mercedes-Benz unveiled its compact SUV ‘New GLK’ during 2008 Auto China in Beijing. The versatile SUV will make its U.S. dealer showroom debut in January 2009 as a 2010 model.

Powered by a 268-horsepower, 3.5-liter V6 engine the GLK 350 will form the basis of the U.S. lineup. The GLK features a 108.5-inch wheelbase and boasts unique design language which sets it apart from the rest of the highly successful Mercedes-Benz family of SUVs that includes the M-Class (which spurred the trend toward more car-like SUVs), the larger GL-Class, the crossover R-Class and the iconic G-Class.

Showcasing bold exterior design, generous cargo capacity and available 4MATIC all-wheel-drive, the GLK350 combines the perfect balance of styling, versatility and performance. The 2010 GLK-Class will be produced exclusively at the Mercedes-Benz plant in Bremen, Germany.

The exterior design could have been more attractive.I'm sure the quality is superb but personally I would take the new Q5 over GLK.

Agreed, this thing is butt ugly. Looks like a cross between a Subaru Forester and a Mitsubishi Montero - and someone stuck a 3 pointed star on the front of it so people would buy it.

Honestly - if this said Kia or Hyundai on the back of it, it would be a failure in everyones mind.

I think it looks great and looks like a SUV should and not like some crossover 5 in 1 fad mobile and it will still look good in ten years, I just dont understand why they are putting the old 350 powerplant in and not the new 350 with over 300hp...

Because 268-horsepower are more than adequate for such a car. The 300+ horsepower variants of the 3.5-l V6 will most likely not bring about any serious performance advantages and will most likely consume more fuel too.

With the 268-horsepower version you're most likely getting an optimal relationship between performance and fuel economy and perhaps emissions too.

The new 350 powerplant is more powerfull and yields more miles per gallon, so it would be a good idea..The new SLK "facelift" already has the new 350 motor..

Yuck.

This is a bigger mistake than the R-Class.

I guess that makes the BMW X3 a mistake as well...

Oh yeah, BMW makes some good looking dandies. First the X5, then the X3 and we cant forget about the cute looking crossover fiasco X6....

The roofline is a bit odd....someone said it looked like a subaru forrester. I completely see what they are talking about.

I'm sure that it's a great Benz. I hope it grows on me though
