2010 Volkswagen Robust Rendering
Spy photos of the Robust have lead us to believe that both single cab and double cab variants will make an appearance with the usual 4x2 and 4x4 options being available for this segment.

The Volkswagen Robus will be priced competitively against its segment rivals in order to deliver usability and performance levels to compete with the likes of the popular Toyota Hilux.

The Robus will be launched at the end of 2009 as a 2010 model for the South American and South African markets, which may also include selected European markets.

Carboy,

I think you are right. I just looked at some Tiguan photos to be sure. Nothing wrong with that, though.

I like VW but this is way too cute to be taken seriously! I think if they had the chrome grille it wouldn't look like its trying so hard to be a"tough guy"

He hates gays, chicks farmers and rednecks.

Curious about the rednecks though as they are the primary target market for BMW...

It might look silly but, because it's a truck they should be able to throw a diesel in there, like the VW 2.0L in the Jeep Compass, and be able to easily pass emission regulations. It'd be the only small diesel truck in the U.S. People would scoop these things up in droves so long as they didn't charge us out the ass like with the Dodge Sprinter or the Jeep Compass CRD.

I'm 100% it will be a diesel as the majority of its sales. Looks like a Japanese brand pick up double cab like what we have is Asia.
