In response to the increasing demand for a sportier car in North America, BMW is adding the 335is coupe and convertible to the 3-series range. BMW is slotting the 2011 335is just below the high-performance M3.

The car is able to produce 320hp – 20hp more than the 335i. It has more exterior features and it also got sporty upgrades to its interior. The added features will raise the price of the 335is to $50,525 for the coupe and $59,075 for the convertible. This makes the 335is about $7,000 less expensive than the V-8, 414-hp M3.
