5 Chinese carmakers presenting in Detroit, a sign of things to come?
It’s only a matter of time until China’s ambitious carmakers penetrate the U.S. market and, despite there being no immediate export plans, next year’s Detroit Auto Show will have the strongest showing of Chinese carmakers yet. China is showing cars, but they can't sell them because they are unreliable peices of crap...they are death traps and they know it. Anybody willing to shell out money for them is fool. They have no reliability record in their own countries (and if they did it would laughable). The Chinese have a different approach than the Japanese...just because something is Asian doesn't mean it is good.

It's obvious more than half of these cars are imitations of major European and Japanese brands.

The Chineese are kings when it comes to stealing industrial secrets.

Wow. I watched that video, and those cars are pretty pathetic. I spied an SL/CLK copy front-end, a Chevrolet Matiz clone, a Toyota Yaris copy, a Fiat Panda rear-end and even the front of an Alfa Romeo.

The first anything from Japan wasn't very good, now the rest is history?

Just imagine how much lead is in those cars.

I see they're still apeing everything without any shame whatsoever.

What's the car in the article, an AMGM3?

zorbeeze,
Yes, and it's because the gov'ts over here allow it so their masters in Corporate America can have access to slave labour and some fictitious market that'll disappear within a decade.

I'm almost hoping an incident of several hundred kids dying will occur just to wake up Mr. and Mrs. Wal-mart shopper.

A few hundred dead kids is the lesser evil compared to a few thousand kids killed by Wal-mart financed bullets courtesy of the PLA.
