When I was going to High school a lot of black kids (not generalizing here!) would always go around during lunch asking for money from other people (nicely) and you would frequently hear the phrase "yo, u got fitty (50) cent?" Im sure he was one of those kids and the name stuck.

They should make not only chrome paint illegal but also rear windows angled so as to reflect sunlight into the eyes of drivers behind the offenting vehicle. I beat that by buying a good pair of plolarized sunglasses. As for all those comments regarding kids asking for money, it's not just black kids, there are plenty of white kids who make good money as professional panhandlers. When I was on my honeymoon in Acapulco some 40 years ago and parked my rented Jeep to watch the cliff divers, a local kid came up to me and said "2 pesos to watch your Jeep" my response was "i'll pay you 2 pesos not to watch my Jeep" and the kid took off.

fyi.. im not hating on anyone. i have friends of all different nationalities and i liste to rap as well as all otehr types of music. and 50 cent isnt just some low life who got lucky.
He understands how to make money very well. and how to invest.
as far as rapping goes, his lyrics and flow is pretty are horrible, but he knows how to make music that everyone likes.

Well said. This Bentley GT kid thinks we are hating on 50 cent. I do also speak English, Spanish, and French fluently plus little bits of German. I have a college degree, and a great job. He can only wish he will ever be half of what we are during his whole life. As far as what he said, I also understood nothing. Quite a sad joke really, thank god for people like him. Its the reason we can be where we are.

I've always liked chrome colored cars. The McLaren F1 car comes to mind and there was an chrome A8 and SL that look beautiful. However, this one just doesn't cut it. Maybe something about the lines and panels being too flat.

Not to worry. Eventually all the races will blend together and we will all be one color which is somewhere between black and white with some asian features thrown in. The next step would be to genetically engineer a small number of humans with enhanced survival traits in space. These guys will form an elite vanguard for the exploration and colonization of space which must be firmly under way before the Sun expands and destroys this planet (that is if we don't destroy it first ourselves). The main goal is to preserve intelligent life in the cosmos and, so far, humans are the only known species capable of pursuing this goal.

I don't understand how some people can pass judgements when 1) they've never held a conversation with said person 2) get their information from a video or song in this case.

Seems nobody knew about old cute and cuddly Mel Gibson til the drunk was caught by the police insulting Jewish people. I guess Ms. Lohan's drunk and drugged behavior along with Ms. Hilton's crashing cars must be black, or could it be that stupidity has no boundaries, least by race?

Lots of ignorance going on here. I usually never bother to comment when threads get out of hand in terms of race, religion, politics etc. which was a mistake on my behalf this time around, but some of you are just too ignorant for it to go unchecked.

Larry, for you to make the comment about 50 Cent being black was "typical" is where this all went wrong. As 610 just pointed out there are plenty of white music artists that were on drugs. You think rap music is the only genre of music with problems? Not too many people think highly of rock's glorification of drugs and women either. Rap music only gets more coverage because they are a relatively new and successful phenomenon.

Will, rap has been around for more than 25 years, not new IMHO. Rap has just become a joke, every song has more than 40% bleeped out, and the prerequisites for a rap video need only: women in short shorts, rottweilers/pitbulls, random bling, champagne, "whips" aka lowriders/luxury cars, money being thrown, and said rapper MUST have a scowl. EVERY video! Art it's not.

didn't know such an amazing/detailed paint job on a vehicle could draw and wonder on to so much criticism.

the man painted his lambo chrome because he can, anyone of here can do so, so long as your monetaries can compensate it. it isnt because he's black or a rapper. those things probably helped his monetary situation. but the reason for his choice of paint is personal preference. same goes for the arab families driving the chrome colored Audi S8, Lambo, and Bentley's. They do it because they can afford it, regardless of what critics like us think!

50 Cent is one of the richest men in America period. Not only does he make music that tends to separate young Caucasian females from their undergarments (the real reason he is hated by white men), he is one of the more savvy business people in the music industry and has made far more money from managing artist and side business ventures that he has ever made in rap music. So if you say it takes no talent to be a rapper, then how much talent does it take to move to the top of the business world when you lack a high school or college level education? How many of you have quadrupled the value of YOUR homes in less than 4 years and stand to walk away with over 15 million in profits? How many of YOU have been welcomed in countries all over the world? So in a nutshell, it’s very easy to pick on someone for their past, without looking at what they have accomplished in the present and the potential for what they will do in the future, this man is far more successful than ANY one of you every measurable way. I have always said it and Autospies just goes to prove my point, racism is for the poor, having someone to feel superior too means you do not have to justify your on failings in life and some of these posters really drive that point home. All you have to say is “hey, at least I am better than that lowlife 50 Cent” when the reality is you are not better and not anywhere close to being on this man’s level.
