Well, it is a very nice looking ride but is it the RIGHT ride to be coming out for these times and attitudes?

Maybe a Z28 Hybrid that's faster than a Corvette from 0-60 that gets 30MPG, but just a plain old gas engine Camaro?

As always, the customers will feedback with their wallets and their web comments...

I definitely like the design though...turned out very nice.

I'd want a pumpkin orange one with black racing stripes.

Agent001... Why is this any more impractical than an M3 or S5 coupe? Not saying that anyone will cross-shop a Camaro with these cars, in terms of passenger/cargo space and fuel economy, these cars are about the same.

I think what will make this car a tough sell is one of GM's own products. I really like the new Camaro, and I'd love a blacked-out SS model for myself. But why should i buy that when i can get a Pontiac G8 GXP? The G8 looks just as cool, goes just as fast, and you get 4 doors, more space, and an arguably more attractive interior.

I guess 001 is on that American car negative hype thing???, which is quite ironic to be like alot of marketing hyped consumers. In REALITY, Im sure that the Camaro in V6, and V8 form will get better epa ratings than similar cars(edmunds.com) not to mention get better epa ratings than many V6 sedans. But hey the biggest enemy of the Camaro will be the fact its an American car because lord knows if its an American car and it looks fast no matter what the epa ratings are to those blindfolded and led by marketing types still see 8mpg. Why dont you check the epa ratings on the Acura RDX which terrible for a 4cylinder turbo in fact less than the estimated mileage for the almost 300hp camaro V6. or the Acura MDX which actually gets 15 20 as does many midsize Crossovers, or the numerous amounts of V6 sedans getting 17 23-26 which are old V8 numbers by the way and these arent even performance sedans while requring premium fuel. But hey percepetions rule over reality.....right?

Better than I expected. The proportions and details work. NIce to see it has a factory sunroof option. Sure wish the Mustang had that. This car will look its best in black with the SS package.

SOMETHING IS WRONG. This doesn't look correct, with respect to the concept. Looks like they had trouble following through with the 2006 Camaro concept. This production model looks SQUISHED or something!

ONCE AGAIN, for some mysterious reason, GM ENGINEERS HAVE SHORTENED THE HOOD! For god sakes WHY do they keep SQUISHING THE HOOD? Can these Cobalt people just please lay off?

Look at the concept:

http://www.carbodydesign.com/archive/2006/01/10-chevrolet-camaro-concept/2006%20Chevrolet%20Camaro%206-lg.jpg

Look at the crease which extends from behind the front wheel arch all the way to the rear wheel arch.

WHY HAS THIS BEEN SHORTENED IN THE PRODUCTION MODEL? THIS WAS A CRITICAL DESIGN FEATURE!

OMG! These people just don't get it. I will not buy this, it looks too ordinary now.

Shorter hood? Different possibilities, but Pedestrian Impact safety, crash test rating, weight distribution, customer panel review or cost could be some of the causes.

Looks good. But why are all of these pics Rally-Sport (RS) cars? They should show the SS version, i'm sure it looks better, and it's the one that people really want. People = Me. I want to see pictures of the Super Sport car.

If only they kept those huge rims from the concept on the production model everyone else here would be drooling over it because all you Americans think bigger is better. Heck in this case bigger is better because the Camaro's fenders need to be filled in a bit!

Other than that it looks great !. Best interior in it's class in my opinion. Beats Ford for sure and beats Dodge by a tad.

I'm baffled by car design these days. My only hope is that they don't eventually also turn the Corvette from a sports car into a chunk-mobile.

It been too long. GM is too slow and should make this car a year ago. It's been about a year or so since the movie.

It's a nice-looking car. Is it just me, or does this new Camaro's styling resemble the Volt?

I like the car. The interior leaves a bit to be desired though. Heck, I will say it, its just plain ugly. Also will there be a nav option?

I like it a lot. In fact I think it is one of the best cars to come out in a long time. Yes it might not handle as well as a BMW, it might not have the quality of a Mercedes and it is not all that practical but come on people, it’s a car. If you a car person and you know quite a bit about cars and have actually worked on some besides changing the oil, I believe you will appreciate this car very much. With this car its not all about the MPG or the 0-60, not that its not important but this car is more about bringing you back to when the care you hade made a big statement about who you are and about making a tough statement. There are too many cars out there today that do look nice, are fast and handle well but they look way to “fancy”. An example of this would be the BMW 3 series and the whole Acura line up. Love it or hate it this car is going to sell very well and if it’s as well engineered and built as the most recent GM products the quality should be very good. If you don’t like it, don’t buy one and don’t look at all of them when they drive buy. That’s just my opinion.
