Recently, Toyota's luxury division, Lexus, decided to update the aging LX sport-utility vehicle. Given that it's essentially a big and bad Toyota Landcruiser that's got a bit more luxury to it, we weren't expecting too too much to come down the 'pike.

But when I saw it at the auto show, I have to admit I was impressed. I actually like it.

The new design language does work on the bulk LX and gives it a much more aggressive look. And, its interior is stellar. I love the way Lexus decided to trim this vehicle.

Although I am sure many will deride the rather stale powertrain, the reality is that it's likely more than enough power and it is reliable as all hell. These things just don't die.

It's no wonder why the Landcruiser and LX have HUGE followings in the Middle East. The vehicles are indestructible. That said, as we've come to know quite well, the EMEA market isn't exactly known for its subtle taste. In fact, it's home to some of the most unique automotive modifications we've ever seen.

So, it should come as no surprise that someone chopped the roof off an all-new Lexus LX570 and is offering it up for about $350,000 USD. Yes, you read that correctly.

I'll let you just fill in the comments with your thoughts...
