Surprised no one has brought this up yet. Acura is upgrading their popular TL with the return of the Type-S.

Nice car? Yes indeed. Ugly wheels? I think so. Too much power front wheel drive? Yep.

I bet those are tester wheels, they look too small, at least I hope. I always liked the previous gen TL-S, I was expecting a little more from this one. I agree though, way too much power for a FWD car, it already had horrible torque steer before.

Umm...isn't this model needing a redesign? What Acura needs to do is just step it up because Lexus is taking over the upper end in Japanese Car Manufacturing!

Sexy! But 286 Horse power on front wheels ... How do they manage that?

I hope to see next generation of TL soon, with SH-AWD.

Nice power but I agree...this car needs a redesign, bad. Do you all know anyone that's even considered purchasing this car new?

At the very least Acura should have included the SH-AWD system in this car.

SH-AWD more than likely coming for the 08 full model change. This is just a refresh (and model addition TL-S) for the last year in this form. Wheels hopefully are just temporary as they are awful. Interior seats look pretty bad too, say Cadillac Catera. Other than that, should be a continual best seller for Acura and in its segment. Not really a competitor with the ES and GS, so probably not much worry there from Acura. Should be more concerned with new G, IS, and maybe 3 Series even though they are all probably more expensive when equipped comparatively.

The current TL already has enough torque steer. By giving the FWD car even more power is going to make it crap.

Honda should consider developing a rear-wheel drive platform since the market is clearly headed in that direction. RWD clears up some design issues currently forced on FWD designs, mainly the A-pillar/front wheel placement/hood overhang problem that will only get worse when European pedestrian safety standards are more widely accepted. Look at the awkward blunt hood of a new Camry for example. Sleekness will be obliterated.
