One of the most infamous sports cars that has been giving top billing as a movie star is arguably James Bonds' Aston Martin. While he's played around with some Lotui, various BMWs and tanks, it seems that if there's automaker synonymous with Bond, it's Aston Martin.

And if you're the biggest James Bond fan in the world, you'll be happy to hear that in the not too distant future Bond's DBS from the movie Quantum of Solace will be up for grabs in a Christie's auction that's timed to the 50th anniversary of the very first James Bond flick, Dr. No.

It's certainly not the iconic DB5 but I think it'll get the job done just fine.

Estimates for the auction have pegged the value of the DBS to be somewhere between $160,000 - $230,000.


Bond’s Aston Martin is up for auction next month at Christie’s — but we’d forgive you if the above image doesn’t convince you to bid. It’s a bit dinged up, dusty and riddled with gashes as it speeds through some winding Italian roads. Granted, the villains chasing 007 at that very moment appear to be simultaneously ramming into his vehicle and spraying it with gunfire. That’s enough to take the shine off of any ultra-luxury dream car. And it’s probably not a good time to tell you that when it starred in Quantum of Solace, the car met a nasty demise at a rock quarry. But, rest assured, it’ll be getting a proper patch-up before you have the opportunity to purchase the vehicle for a jaw-dropping amount of money...
