Al Gore Jr. caught with drugs and doing OVER 100MPH in his Prius!
This morning on the San Diego Freeway, Al Gore Jr. (III) was arrested for drug possession and doing over 100MPH in his Prius!

Never knew a Prius could go that fast!

Not sure why most of u are surprised by this. Any car with over 90hp can do at least 100mph. Aspecially now that they're so aerodynamic.

In Los Angeles, I see SO many people hauling ass in their Prii. I've never driven one but they seem fast according to all the eco-chic Angelenos who take off from stop lights like jack rabbits and go 70 down Olympic Blvd. Oh and as for the drugs, Happy 4th of July!!!

Prescription drugs are a problem that transcends politics. Jeb Bush's daughter has had well publicised issues with drugs, and the poster boy is Rush Limbaugh.

I wish all of these folks well in recovery.

It's a huge medical issue. I'm glad Gore Jr. didn't kill anyone.

Whether or not this story is true, I have been passed on the freeway on more than one occasion by a Pruis. And for me to be passed on the freeway, you have to be doing at least 30 over. So much for saving the planet hypocrites.

the most significant of the mods, was bypassing the speed limiter.

why do people assume the MOST FUEL EFFICIENT vehicle on the planet can not ALSO be efficient at burning up the road?

He was probably still getting 40 mpg, even at that speed. On the way to Vegas I had my Prius up to 85mph and was still getting in the high 40s mpg. Maybe he was just testing out its capabilities.

I don't ever go to the DMV, all services are provided on line.

If we have universal health care, we might also have an industrial base in the future......It costs $2500 less to build a car in Canada than accross the river.

Free markets are a great idea, they just don't happen to exist.
