Alfa Romeo considering new SUV based on Jeep Grand Cherokee

According to a report by CARandDRIVER, Fiat engineers are currently studying the 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee for the basis of a new Alfa Romeo SUV.

Sources say that Fiat isn’t satisfied with Alfa’s current share of the European market and is looking to get the brand to compete in new segments.

Hmmm, better, hints of the 2004 Jeep GC. Is this a photochop?
If it looked like that, got back its dual solid axles and they added more insulation, I'd probably buy another one.

Right now I'm leaning towards a Highlander-hybrid as my next wheels.

Nice, adjustable 11.1 inch clearance (perfect for snow) and the interior looks much better than the current GC's ugly example. I wonder if triple sealed body = quieter cabin?

Yup, softened the corners to return to the old 04's lines. I like :)
