Are They Crazy? AFA Claims Ford's Dire Condition Is Due To Their Family Boycott
Ford Motor Company sales dropped 21% in September compared to that month's sales a year ago. Ford sales have dropped in 17 of the 19 months since AFA began a boycott of the company. AFA began boycotting Ford in March 2006 when the company reneged on a pledge to stop supporting homosexual organizations and same-sex marriage.

While not totally responsible for the decline in sales, the boycott is having an impact. When the boycott began, Ford was approximately in the same financial condition as that of General Motors and Chrysler. But because of the boycott, Ford is now in much more of a serious financial situation than GM and Chrysler.

Ford continues to consider support for the homosexual agenda and same-sex marriage more important than making a profit for the company.

Ford has rebuffed repeated attempts by AFA asking the company to remain neutral in the culture war.

I guess there is nothing like twisting the truth to suit your own agenda.

homosexual agenda? Perhaps they are not pandering to these outragious bigoted organizations that feel they can hold companies hostage to their misguided propaganda. Ford is loosing market share because of their lackluster product line and the state of their dealership network. Ever walked into a Ford dealer lately? It's like stepping back into the 70's.

I agree... it has nothing to due with these hate mongers disguising themselves in God's Bible, it has to due with poor products. I mean come on Ford, the Focus is now 9 years old... and you are still wrapping sheetmetal around this old chassis. Hell the 3rd version of the Focus is on the horizon in Europe. The Five errr Taurus... hmmm, blandsville is what it should have been called. The Fusion is ok, and they have no small car entry. And there is now the housing slump which I am sure all big trucks will feel. Causing more sales decline. I mean even Toyota had a crappy September. I hate hearing about these bigots... and that is all they are.

Did you check out Mr Wildmon? Preaching against gays is like the pan calling the kettle black if you asked me.

Speaking of alternate lifestyles, do you think Mark Fields and William Clay Ford Jr. have had romantic getaways together in the company jet?

and...back to Ford's woes, why does Mazda have a product line so much more attractive than Ford? considering they have a stake in their company? And once again, why does Ford feel North Americans aren't entitled to their better designed products from Europe?

Because they're "too expensive to import."

F&¢K THAT!!!

Okay, so they can RE-PRICE THEM to fit the American market, and they'll lose money at first! But then it will all come back- AND THEN SOME! You have to spend money to make money! Ford makes me sick!

The AFA...
Seriously, do people not have anything better to do?
Notice, they didn't target Subaru, or the "in the closet" Volkswagen. I am hetero, but would love to sock it to these fools. They are worse than MADD supporters.

MADD Supporters: Go out and offer rides to drunk people and stop ticketing cars left overnight. You got your .08 law, kudos. Anything else is armchair QB.

AFA: The attractive ones, go out and have easy secks with people, then less people would have to resort to being alternative in the first place. Worst case scenario, the world will be a better place.

If you are not willing to do this, I am not willing to listen. This is not meant to be offensive to anyone other than MADD and AFA. Sincere appologies to anyone other than these two groups.

With love, Shredmore

Per the title of the article...Yes, THEY ARE CRAZY...the AFA that is...
Ford has such an easy way out (relatively) as noted by IIaroo...Bring the Euro gear to N America...cars like the Mondeo WOULD sell here (and they wouldn't even need to sell that many to make a BIG difference)...

Maybe they are waiting to get the UAW off their back first.

hmmm...good point. How much of this is union obstuctionism? Once again the UAW would probably prefer to see Ford go down rather than negotiate.

THe AFA is such a ridiculous organisation...I think this sort of thing is banned in Britain...

and "homosexual agenda"...lol.

Is it still 1955 in AFA-land?
I have never once heard that phrase in Britain...what is this agenda anyway? Is there like a timetable for revolution followed by some shopping and a haircut? We have civil partnerships in Britain, and it's not even...well anything. No one cares, it's just accepted. And the middle classes still exist...and families have not broken down...and a marriage isn't worth anything less...

Seriously why the hell do the AFA care? What do they think is going to happen? "The gays are taking over, run for your lives!!"
America won't collapse because of it...and as for masquerading under the all-encompassing veil of "religion", well that's no better than suicide bombers claiming it's a religious jihad...(except for the fact that under islam the killing of innocents and suicide are both very wrong).

Don't American people have anything better to do than complain about minorities?

I really don't see what the big deal is. You think people would support others who are gay. As a group, gays are more educated and earn more income, thus they are spending more on the economy. Not to mention they're not popping babies out every week just to land up on welfare.

I would have thought the AFA would like gays because they can't be single mothers...
