Aston Martin: Rapide is top priority, plus new flagship dubbed DBX.
Now that Aston Martin has revealed its new DBS that goes on sale next year, CEO Ulrich Bez is saying that the company’s number one priority is developing the Rapide. Aston Martin’s chief designer, Marek Reichman, said the four-door-coupe will arrive in 2009 or 2010 and will cost around $400,000.
“We are working from a coupe architecture,” said Reichman, “but it will be a four-door sports car. People are going to do a double-take when they see four heads in it...

Aston martin leading british automotive industry back to some lost glory. I hope that the car that replaces vanquish will be just as stunning looking.

You've already seen it: The DBS is the car that replaces the Vanquish.

This thing is the automotive equivalent to the "Hugh Hefner" suite at the Palms in Las Vegas and that's a very good thing! It's pure sex on wheels. This will become the "it" car of Hollywood the first week it launches in the US. Leonardo will trade in all three of his Prius's for one. Hugh will have seats for all three of his girlfriends. Paris, Nicole, Lindsey, and Brittney can use the HOV lane to get to the clubs and can all be photo'd pantyless at the same time!

Astons new 4 door is amazing, the wood trim in the back of the seats adds a great feel to the car, a very well built car by Aston, I hope this is the version that makes it into production. Note to all Engineers and designers at Aston who read this, Dont change a thing! oh the DBX more than the $400,000 sticker price on the Rapide, all i can say is let it be astons sexiest and most powered car yet!

After the DBS, if Aston Martin will pull these out too, I see a really good future for it, because I just love it. So much style, next to Ferrari or Lamborghini. Well, maybe not Ferrari, but style is definetly not Lambo's thing.

There is no 4 door saloon that has or will look better... it is amazing. $400,000 is a bargain when you look at the styling of the Rolls and Maybach's in that price range. Bentley's look great, but still can't touch this. However many of these they build they will sell.

$400,000 is a bargain? Not really when you consider a Mercedes Benz S63 AMG is more than $250,000 cheaper, & in 2009 it will probably still come with more up-to-date features than the Aston, plus not to mention the Aston most likely will be slower.
However the extra money for the name (Aston name that is, not Rapide) & sexy sheet metal is justified, considering Mercedes just can't match that.
