Audi 2008 M.Y. Changes
2008 MY Summary
The following summary provides information on equipment steps in model year 2008, per carline.

The A3 is not receiving any major changes for 2008 MY. There are no exterior changes other than wheels. The following are changes to standard equipment:
- Tire pressure monitoring added
- Driver information display added
- Sirius satellite radio added (3.2 model only)
- Auto-dimming interior mirror with compass added (3.2 model only)
Most communication-worthy is certainly satellite radio/auto-dimming mirror on the 3.2 model and driver information display on all models.

The following are changes to the wheel program:
- Base 5-spoke wheel 17” is the same
- 17” wheel in S-line package on 2.0TFSI models is 5-spoke design and matches the standard wheel on the 3.2 models
- 17” bi-color wheel is now in the Premium package
- 18” 5-arm wheel available as option on both models
Following are major changes to the option programs for 2008 MY:
- 18” wheel now available as an option on both models
- Manual rear sunshades are available
- New S line Titanium package available with 18” Titanium wheels, Titanium grille, piano black interior trim and black headliner (may not be available for ordering until May).
- iPod integration becomes available

A4 Sedan / Avant (includes “S” and “RS”)

The A4 Sedan and Avant models get a major visual upgrade for 2008 MY. All models have standard S line exterior package consisting of S line bumpers, badges, grille, lower side door trim and S line trunklid (with integrated spoiler). 3.2 models also get standard 18” 5-arm wheels with all-season tires.
Standard equipment has the following additional changes:
- Automatic models get steering wheel shift paddles
- Tire pressure monitoring system added on all models
- Driver information display added on all models
- Sirius satellite radio added to S4 models
- Bluetooth is now standard on S4 models
There are no changes to the color program with 2008 MY.
There are no changes to the wheel program with the exception of adding 18” wheel as standard on 3.2 models.
Following are major changes to the option programs for 2008 MY:
- iPod integration becomes available
- S line package (now called S line interior package) now only includes interior items
- The S4 models get a new 18” wheel (RS 4 design) in the convenience package
- The RS 4 models get a new Titanium package with 19” titanium wheels with performance tires, titanium grille, black headliner and piano black interior trim.
- The RS 4 models also get a new “Audi exclusive” package with red seat center and door trim, contrasting red seat piping, stitching on shifter and steering wheel, Audi exclusive badges and piano black interior trim.
The remainder of the option program has no significant communication value. The focus should stay on the optical improvement in standard equipment.
A4 Cabriolet
For 2008, the A4 Cabriolet remains largely untouched. As opposed to the A4 Sedan and Avant models, the A4 Cabriolet is not in its last year of lifecycle, hence the program is similar to 2007 MY. The A4 Cabriolet does NOT get the S line exterior like the Sedan and Avant models
New standard equipment items include:
- Sirius satellite radio (S4 Cabriolet models only)
- Tire pressure monitoring
- Heated front seats (3.2 and S4 Cabriolet models only)

With the S line exterior and 18” wheels/all season tires now standard equipment, the A6 is very well equipped. In an effort to improve the residual value of our cars we suggest that 99 percent of the A6 3.2 models be ordered with the Premium package, 60 percent with Audi music interface and about 45 percent with the Audi navigation system for dealer inventory.
(See the order guide for other minor package and option structure changes.)

Audi Q7

Despite the fact that the Audi Q7 is only in its second year of lifecycle, it already receives many new features, a simplified option program, and some changes to standard equipment. With the high level of standard equipment on the 2008 Audi Q7, it is important to equip accordingly. As an example, we expect our typically equipped 3.6 Premium to include the Convenience Package and Panorama sunroof as options.

All manufacturers have to add tire pressure monitoring for 2008 and that is one requirement from government safety nazis that I totally agree with. What I want to know is whether this is a true tire monitoring system that identifies the wheel with low tire pressure or just some simple warning system that leaves the driver guessing as to which tire offends him; for example, the standard tire pressure warning on the Mercedes S-Class is the latter.

it will be a dummy system on most cars / the A8 has told you the temps and pressure on all 5 tires

I think more lives would be saved by requireing ESP not TPM

The A4 is nice, but it needs more than a "visual upgrade" IMO. What happened to the next-gen A4?

The german my2008 changes for the TT mention voice commands for the navigation plus system. Do you know if the NA TT will also gain this feature SOP CW22/2007?
