anything sport dont even put lexus in same line. lexus is all luxury no sport. they try to conquer the mb market more than any other brand. they are doing the best job out of any jap brand its great. but outside us that is different story.

cars like r4 r8 those type will be more popular or more desire than my favorite lf-a car. it will probably be the closest thing that lexus will come to being sporty. if it does not perform or handle well then lexus will look like a joke. for now they still are. the sc need redesign and more sporty so they can compete with clk, a5. and the lf-a can go against 6 series, sl, xk, r8 and porsche. i also hope nissan and honda make their nsx and gt-r soon so they can join the race. but i think lf-a, gt-r, and nsx are in their own league apart from the european exotics. not better but good in their own way..

The article says "The same mid-mounted engine powers the Porsche Cayman and Boxster models, but they are not beeing considered competitors for the new R4. Maximum output for the 2.7-litre Boxster’s engine is 240 hp, makes the 0 to 60 mph sprint in 6.2 seconds and has a top speed of 159 mph. The Cayman is powered by a 2.7 liters engine developing an output of 245 bhp. It has a top speed of 160 mph and makes the 0 to 60 mph in 6.1 seconds."

Almost the same power, both are two seaters with mid engine. How will they NOT be competitors?

The article implied that the V6 engine that will be in the R4 is the "same mid-mounted engine powers the Porsche Cayman and Boxster models".
I'm sorry but the 6 cyl in the Cayman and Boxster is a flat-six or boxer type engine similar to the flat-six in the Subaru - not a V6.
