Audi R8 sold out for months to come
In Audi’s new sales report released Tuesday, the German automaker said that its Audi R8 car is sold out for months to come. Audi however is not saying how many R8s it has sold since the supercar hit the market last year.

The Volkswagen owned brand reported a 2.9 percent gans in sales in April, selling a total of 86,700 units worldwide.

Amazing, I can't wait until the R8 with V10 comes out and just smashes the BMW M6 harder than it has ever been smashed before.

R8 is a completely different car from the M6. Perhaps when or if BMW comes out with something like the M1, then they will be direct competitors.

Exactly. Audi may have got the jump, but you can bet the M1 or whatever they decide to call it will take the 8 to school. And you can also bet it will have its own extraordinary engine, not one also used in a hopped-up, entry level sedan.

Your wait is not long off...mid 2009 the V10 with 530 bph will make its debut.

The car's hot. Reminds me of the NSX in terms of how its positioned in the market. The exotic looks of a mid-engined car with an extensive dealer network to back it up.

On my way to lunch yesterday in OC, Irvine, CA to be specific, I saw an Audi R8, man she was a beauty.

This Audi R8 is difinitely a drop dead gorgeous sportcar, I like it alot.

Good job Audi!

I'm glad I made my purchase months ago then so I wouldn't have to wait even longer. By the way I've finally returned to my hometown to take it for a spin.

1) Acceleration is smooth
2) Car is so civilized on the roads
3) Attention wh*re of a car
4) Very fast
5) Quality product
6) Would definitely recommend the V8 or the upcoming V10

Thanks :) appreciate it.

I don't regret this car at all. I'm usually a Merc-ONLY type of guy but how can I ignore the R8. I've always respected the Audi brand for it's modest designs but come on this car is beautiful. Why not buy a piece of Audi history? I probably won't keep it for the rest of my life but at least when I have grand children I can say I owned one of them bad boys.

I also love the S5 look as well. It's a bolder looking car than the 3 series.

Never mind the front; it's that hideous blade that completely ruins what could have been a great design.
