Audi R8 with Twin-Turbo V10 Engine Info
Insideline is reporting that the new V10 engine for the R8 (R10 or RS8 possibly) is going to be a Twin-Turbo version of the new 5.2 Liter V10 in the RS6. They are reporting that it will be less powerful than the RS6 engine, but that is still to be seen. Read Article

For someone who thinks that Audi is "crap" and inferior to Merc and BMW, you seem very interested in reading every Audi post here, not to mention the fact that you feel compelled to post these comments which only prove how little you know about Audi!

BenzW124 if you hate Audi so much, why the hell don't you just stop commenting on Audi posts.

BenzW124 must comment on Audi posts because he is afraid that if he doesn't Audi is going to start outselling Mercedes within the next two years worldwide.

Who would buy an M6 over the Audi R8 with V10?

The M6 will clearly be slower, not as rare, less expensive and will not handle nearly as well.

It's the closest competition BMW has. BenzW124 implied that anyone should buy a BMW/Merc over the R8, and the M6 is the only one you'd buy over it. I wouldn't, though, unless I desparately needed rear seats.

tsk tsk.. need twin turbos to get 530 HP.. poor ol audi.. engineers must be asleep at the wheel. BMW 507HP NO TURBOS. with turbos.. it will anhiliate the audi engine (as usual). you just dont mess with the best engineered engines inthe world. take comfort in your "interiors" and knobs. Leave the ride and advanced engineering, driving aids and telematics to the profesionals at BMW and benz.

and im not sure benzW124 is out to lunch. In essence he is right.. "who WOULD buy an AUDI POS over a BMW or benz?". Not many.. for those who do.. poor folks at the lower end of the scale and not rich enough to buy a ferrari or amg sl55/65.
