Audi RS4 production will continue
It appears the initial report by Autocar, which stated that Audi would be ceasing production of the RS4 in the near future, is likely to have been greatly exaggerated. Audi’s Media Relations and Motorsport Specialist Patrick Hespen has revealed to Winding Road that the claims are untrue and that the RS4 will continue well into 2008. Read Article

In a straight line: yes
On a track: no

Not even a straight line. It got a 4.4 second 0-60mph time, which is almost exactly equal to the RS4.

BTW, the CLK63 Black is twice the price of the RS4, so I'd hope it was better!

I'm not too familiar with Mercedes, but isn't the CLK63 AMG a coupe? The RS4 is a sedan. Why are you comparing the two?

AUDI IS THE BEST. NO OTHERS COME EVEN CLOSE. It has a magical feel and plus its German and not them pesky Japanese cars. No, I'm not some fat hunky white trash faggot either.

This is good news. Why on Earth would Audi be thinking about benching such a herald and globally well-benchmark car, the RS4? Doesn't make sense to stop production on the model that almost every journalist absolutely love.

Because the new A4 will be coming out soon... it makes even less sense for them to have a new A4 platform and carry on a car that's still on the old A4 chassis.

Platform change time. The RS4 Cabrio will continue for a while longer because it is built by Karman in a different plant, but when the new A4 sedan begins production sometime in the spring of 2008, production of the RS4 sedan and avant will end. If you want one, you'd better order it in the next 6 months. You probably won't be able to do it after December of 2007 in the US.

As never follow said, production for the U.S on the 2008 RS4 will be limited...
