Audi RS5 and TTRS will arrive before the end of the decade
While Audi may be busy with the R8, RS 6 and the upcoming Q7 V12 TDI, the German auto maker is also busy planning the much-anticipated RS5 and the TTRS. According to sources at Auto Motor und Sport, the Audi TTRS will appear in auto shows sometime in September (Paris or Frankfurt Motor Show), and the RS5 will hit the market in late 2009.
‘High ranking sources from Audi in Germany’ say that the TTRS will get its power from a 2.3 liter FSI engine that produces 350 horsepower. Audi plans on introducing the TTRS in its American TT lineup in late 2009.
Details for the Audi RS5 are still sketchy. One recent speculation says...

Fingers crossed for the one of the V-10 possibilities, a direct M6 challenger but with awd via the some hopefully updated version of vector distributing quattro system with should make for a fun car

I'd rather a v8 TT with 450HP. Its not a 6 series competitor, its a 3 series competitor so go with the v8 to match the M3

the S5 is not a 6-series competitor. Have you sat in a S5 then sat in a 6-series? Have you driven both? I have and they dont compare. Audi's A5/S5 is a 3-series coupe competitor. The Audi is 182" long and the 3-series coupe is 181" long. 6-series is 190" long.

That is no rumour mile...

The little techical specs that he gave..
- TT RS 350hp from a 5cyl
- Q5 SUV is based on the A4 quattro not on the VW Tiguan and shares nothing with the Tiguan
- New A6 use a all aluminum chassie and nearly all aluminium suspension to reduce the car weight in average by 100kg compared to competetive models of other brands
- 2008 Audi market the cleanest running diesel engine in the world
- the A1 will be avaible as full electirc car with plug in technology
- The 2008 Q5 is the first DSG equipped car with longitudinal mounted engine in Audis modle range
- possible that Audi starts production in the USA
- Audi slowly goes away from the all models look the same single fram front image.. as a begin the Q models recive more marked vertical struts in the grill, the sportive models recive flater wider single fram grills. But according to design chief Stefan Sielaff this will be a slow process.
this is published in the auto motor und sport edition 5 14. Februar 2008
That's an interesting post for sure. What we do know of these cars listed is consistent with the list and Michael Dick is on Audi's board of directors and in the know. If it's from him, and I don't know why Auto Motor Und Sport would say otherwise, then it's likely accurate."

in your opinion, that is amazinIdiot. The BMW M5 got bitch slapped by Audi's RS6.
I look forward to the Audi RS5 doing the same with the BMW M3. The RS5 has an already confirmed power increase over the RS4 by at least 30 horsepower. Additionally, the RS5 will be supercharged so as to keep the weight down.
The R8 with V10 will stomp right over any BMW M offering.
Audi's product portfolio is growing at an alarming rate, but the beauty is that each new offering is getting better and better.

LOL, delusional drugs. The Audi RS6 defeated the BMW M5 in the Autocar comparison test so I don't see how that is delusional.
Secondly, the Audi R8 has wiped the floor with BMW's M6, hell it even took down Porsche's 911 Turbo in Motortrend.
The Audi RS models are expanding rapidly as witnessed with the TT-RS and RS5 spyshots and each generation is becoming much better dynamically.
It's only a matter of time until BMW gets smacked into second place by Audi.
Look at GM....they never thought Toyota would catch them and look at how sorry GM is now.

I love how when amazinbimmer gets into an Audi thread, he has to mention BMWs... Who cares amazinbimmer. They are both great cars. you act as if you would turn down a chance to own an Audi in the respective class of a BMW...
I'm just wondering when the S5 convertible comes out. I think that I might have to trade in my car, finally, to get that in the next few years.
