In any car, you would be lucky to even make it out alive in a situation like this. You ramble about biased facts. How about the driver, how did it start, etc? It doesn't take a lot of skill to understand words.

"HondaJapan" says:

"BMW -> Barbarian Motor Works.

No wonder their cars are extremely unreliable, because the barbarians made them! LOL!!!!!!!!!!"

---

Wow. Is it the Bavarians that suffer from prognathism? The Germans have Beethoven, Brahms, Bach, Mozart etc. and I think the most sophisticated Japanese instrument is the drum. And why do the civilized (enjo kosai) Japanese forever benchmark German cars? The MazdaSpeed3 was benchmarked on the Volkswagen GTI, the Lexus IS 350 and Infiniti G35/37 were benchmarked on the BMW 3 series, the Lexus IS-F was benchmarked on the BMW M3, the Nissan GT-R was benchmarked on the Porsche 911 Turbo, and from the beginning the Lexus LS was benchmarked on the S-Class Mercedes.

this is not a good indicator of Audi's safety, what about if there are children or other passengers in the rare seats, they gonna be shredded. I love Audi's cars but this is really scarring me and count as a negative safety point .. cheers

I don't think anybody should be worried about Audi safety. The A3, A4 and Q7 have all received the highest possible rating by the IIHS.

Audi's are very safe. I've told some of you guys the story of me watching an A4 speeding through one yellow-red light and then braking heavily at the next light not being able to brake from at least 120km/hr and hitting a Matrix. In result the A4's rear end actually lifted and the Matrix rear end was completely trashed. The drunken couple who came out of the A4 were walking and had no apparent injuries. I was amazed. I was also amazed that the guy also took a swing at a paramedic lol.

Looks like the tree cut the car in half, the Audi must have been travelling at one hell of a speed ?
The driver was lucky, you can see his seat is about the only part of the car not damaged.

The only thing you can learn from this is wear your seatbelt !!

I think some people said (when the pics first came out) that this was more of a (don't drive too fast) demonstration and the car was cut up on purpose. But I am not sure if that was just a rumor or actually true.

About like 8 years ago, my mother crashed the family's 1997 BMW 740iL in a double crash. She came out of the car unharmed, but the car was a total wreck. We sold it.

you heared this, you heared that, but you know nothing. you dont know anything about cars, except the things your father told you about lexus, you know even less about engineering, hell you dont even understand the relation between price and sales.

the cheap metal you are talking about is called aluminium, ever heared about it? they dont use it cause its cheap but to cut the weight in some places where it hasnt any negativ effects on the strength of the structure.

according to this situation: you proved it again, you know NOTHING about this situation.

this guy went sideways into a tree with >80mph, every car would look the same if not even worse. but of course your lexus blablabla...

Only on this site would a flame-war start over a picture of a crashed car. If I posted a picture of a totaled Volvo do we immediately determine Volvo's aren't safe?

Like this picture is a testament to automotive safety engineering performed on all Audi's or any German auto manufacturer for that matter...Grow up, we don't even know the full dynamics of the crash & how another vehicle would have performed under the same conditions.

If you think any car is safe then your are getting drunk with water too... Look at this A3 which was hitting the tree at 100 km/h (that is 62 mph) - picture #9. Unfortunately nobody got alive from the car..
