It was announced by Audi that it will have an expansion of its 2009 A4 range with two new versions, one highlighting front-wheel drive and one highlighting a 6-speed manual transmission.

But there's a warehouse full of CVTs that they need to unload before DSG becomes a household name!

DSG transmissions are definitely the way to go. I do see these replacing CVTs as the next best technology.

New model launched with high base-price.
Vehicles fly out the door for a few months.
Sales cool ... and lower-priced versions appear.
YAWN!

WHATS NEW THATS BEEN DONE ALREADY....why doesnt audi focus on changing the shape of each vehicle instead of having one single front end that they use on every last car they make. even their AWARD WINNING interiors are starting to look the same.

Hey, Toyota made the Corolla and Avalon mini- and maxi- Camry's and nobody complains.
GM is making everything look like the Malibu.
Its the "corporate image" and all the so-called experts in Marketing say its the way to go.

As for interiors ... when you nail it, why change?
The saddle hasn't changed in over 100 years, but you don't hear cowboys complaining that the new ones look like the old ones! :)
