Audi has fun at speed camera's expense
Audi's advertising agency, Ogilvy, decided to have a little fun with a speed camera in South Africa by placing in front of it an ad for the Audi RS6 with the line, "say cheese!"

One might find need for such a warning/laugh in an RS6, which at the time of this pic boasted 450 hp from a twin-turbo version of the 4.2L V8 in the A6. That makes for one very photogenic sedan.

Will - I wish i knew. The USA is the 3rd largest market for Audi but I would love to see more advertising. But audi is still growing about as fast as they can right now don't worry

Audi spent the least on advertising last year in America. They should up that up, because here advertising equals sales, that is how BMW and the Ford F-150 sell so well. This is interesting, because I am pretty sure the RS6 isn't sold anymore anewhere. That means that the next RS6 is right around the corner.

Yeah, I've seen a couple LaForzas. Acura ELs are sold in Canada, I've seen some in my travels there. I always try to spot strange (to me) cars when I travel.

a seat or skoda is a very different proposition to a vw or audi. they have completely different characters, and seat and skoda both cost less than vw and are the volume makers of vw group. vw is a step up from them. they don't have the 4x4 system from audi, they use vw's 4motion, but only on 1 skoda model, and on 0 seat models.
they're on the same platforms, sure, but is a freelander anything like a volvo s80? or a focus like a volvo s40? or a 500 like a volvo s60? or a lincoln ls like a jag s-type?

I have a question. I'm not too familiar with Audi, but was wondering is it the RS6 that is sold everywhere else except the U.S. I remember hearing Audi making a model that isn't for the U.S. market. I did some research on the internet and only finding info about the last couple of years of the RS6 (2003-2004). I'm just wondering if they revived it or do they just have the S6. Thanks.

the current generation of audi a6 is only available with the s6, which came out recently. the rs6 is yet to come.
the audi all-road is not coming to america, neither is (i beleive) the s3.
hope that answers your question.

With a '71 Buick Riviera in the image I thought the camera was in the USA, not South Africa!
