Auto Express: Jaguar XF wins Car of the Year
The Jaguar XF has yet again been voted 'Car of the Year' – its fourth top title win since being launched in March. This time the premier award comes courtesy of Auto Express in their New Car Honours 2008. Jaguar's multi-award winning sports saloon claimed its crown following victory in the 'Best Executive Car' category ahead of the BMW 5-Series, the Mercedes CLS and E-Class, the Audi A6 and the Lexus GS.

The 5 is a terrible design, and has a bellow standard ride and interior. Its good in corners... yes... hardly the pinnacle purpose of a luxury car though is it? Certainly the 5 is not an all round contender by any reasonable standards.

Shock Horror Amazement!
Is anyone surprised that a British magazine names what they a British car, "Car of the Year"? No surprises here.
All the same, it does look well. But in agreement with the other comments above, it's early days yet for this new direction from Jaguar.

If that were true then a British car would win every year. Moron!
They XF has been picked in comparison tests by Motor Trend, Road and Track, Edmunds, Automobile, What Car, Auto Express, Auto Car etc etc etc...
Get a grip dude.

Jagexpert2 - 9 times in the last 17 years - Autoexpress have named a car manufactured in UK as their "Car of the year". Maybe it's just a coincidence? I dunno.
The XF looks very handsome but it's going to be tough going for Jag and all luxury manufacturers for a while.

Driven the new XF's. Very nice, especially the ride and the seating room has improved. I wonder when the XFR's are coming out.

I'm not surprised because this is by far the best car Jaguar has made as long as I can remember. It took them a few years to catch up to the market but now their on par with their cars being more modern instead of traditional British luxury. They knew they had to eventually get out of it and they have!
Congrats to Jaguar!
