A very Euro-centric list as expected, but I really can't argue against it. The one addition I would add is the 240Z to both the "Driver's Cars" and "Icons" categories.
BTW, to spare everyone the heartache, the Toyota Prius is under the "Technologically Marvelous" category. Flame war commence now:

"Wi11" you do realize you're even more of a jackass than the person you love to ride the coattails of? No offense Will_.
Did he not just get through saying he accepts the fact that this list is predominately European? Why wont you and your friends grow up and realize that the Europeans did not dominate the J.D. Powers survey?

How are these:
1961-64 Lincoln Continental Convertible
Stutz Bearcat
Duesenberg SJ roadster
Austin Mini
"Driver's cars"? There are many great cars missing from that list which once again proves that this is sorely based on editor opinion.

The Mini?
The Mini should most definately be on there...it was the car that mobilise Britain!

But it wasn't a "driver's car". If this list specifically said "greatest cars of all time", then I'd agree that the MINI deserves to be on this list. Yet this list is about "driver's cars"...

It was an accident. It actually won "Best performance medium size motorboat" The gentleman assigned the duty of posting the results only reads Swahili so I'm sure you see the problem!

The 240Z should be on that list. Especially over the Acura Integra and the Mazda MX-5. Those cars would not exist if the 240Z weren't produced!

I don't think their cars will appear on a list like this for a very long time if at all because they are all derivatives of (i.e. Copied or adapted from others)other brands or less expensive versions from the same company..(Toyota,Nissan,etc)Honda and Mazda were innovative early on-BTW the 240Z should be on this list as well...it is disappointing to see Lexus copying the Hoffmeister kink on almost all of their new autos..that is why their design language is disposable and wont appeal to true collectors or have longevity...

Sorry but this list is crap, where is the skyline gtr R32, the toyota 2000GT, honda civic type r EK.
And you seem obsessed with lexus and infiniti do you like them that much?

The Honda Civic has hardly made an impact and doesn't deserve to be on this list. Not even the Type-R models belong here. I'd pick the Toyota GT from your choices, it belongs there. Skyline? Hardly. Good car, but it's not made a major impact on the automotive business.

Actually I had a Lexus a few years back and it was a terrible experience for me. I had an accident and broke my arm, the airbags did not deploy. I sued Lexus and won my case for $150,000 which was nothing. I will never buy a Lexus again.

Well desireable and reliable are two different worlds and rarely can you have both. Europe builds mostly desireable Autos and Japan builds mostly reliable rides. US is somewhere in the middle. So I can see the list being biased towards desireable autos.
No matter what, no two people will have the same list of favs.

Yeah your right S4, Automobile mag had the Quattro coupe on their list, I noticed right off the bat it was missing here.
The Quattro coupe deserves a spot on this list just as much if not more than the M3, it pretty much inspired BMW to build the M3, notice how they look so much alike?

Why no Toyota or Lexus on the list? How about an original LS400? How about the MR2, Celica and Supra? Great cars. This list is biased as usual against the Asians.

Several of the writers on Automobile Magazine do write for British publications such as Chris Harris (Autocar) and Jaime Kitman (Car Magazine I think), which Jaime wrote about several of the cars in the '25 Greatest' feature.

These are the top 25 driver's cars. Click the link at the top to see other lists. There's plenty of American cars in the top 25 icons list.
