Awww SNAP! XF Interior caught undisguised!
Check it out everyone! Jag's upcoming XF has had its interior spied! Sans any camo! Check out the link and leave comments! My personal thoughts on it? Nothing radical at all like the concept, which disappoints me a little bit, since I really saw this as a chance for Jaguar to move the interiors of car design forward with that hot concept they had. Oh well....makes me worry a little about the exterior now that I see this. Opinions anyone? Read Article

The interior looks like it belongs in a Lincoln & from the outside spy pics, the car looks like a 4-door coupe that would be better off competing with the CLS rather than the 5, E, A6, & GS.

It IS a CLS competitor. That's the point.

S4CABRIO

I was referring to that cheap interior. Exterior is up to par.

Interior looks pretty boring IMO. The exterior, however, is nothing short of brilliant.

It shows promise...it is very couple like. Looks intimate but airy too. Im not a fan of that satin nickel trim that the Ford group uses but over all I like it. I think they'll be a trim package that will add all the aluminum and tech stuff for the teckies. I think they still want to preserve the typical Jaguarness of the interior. Not everyone love aluminum and carbon fiber. I'd say thats a very small part of the market. Overall I think its tasteful and will wear well.

It looks middle of the road conservative. The body is very nice too bad they didn't take more chances on the interior.

Some of you are just taking note of the center console. Look at the doors, with all of that wood, and how the materials are laid out. It's easy to see that this is a modern interpretation of Jag's current theme, and I think it will look pretty awesome.

That is one thing that the 5, E, A6, & GS all lack- a stitched leather dash. The CLS however, does have one.

Fit and finish at least appears better than the previous model. I honestly just want to see the new XJ.

I have a feeling that this one vague shot doesn't give us insight into the car's true interior lines. Something in me says that it will be more special than that "middle-of-the-road" nav screen.

I agree completely. Jaguars have historically had a sort of all encompasing design scheme for their dashes, that puts all of the design within a simple overriding design. I don't think that you could even begin to see that in a picture like this one.

So this does compare with the CLS? I thought it was the S-type replacement.

It does replace the S-type in the lineup, but Jaguar it has been said again and again intends to move upmarket. I don't believe that they are going to do this by axing the X alone.

It has been said for example, that the new top of the line XJ may exceed £85,000 UK [$168,000 US]- making it more expensive than the current Daimler Super Eight. Although even if priced as such in England, I would imagine US prices between $100,000 and $130,000. Even so, it has been said that the new XJ may compete slightly with the Bentley Continental series. Be that as it may this may all just be the over zealous reporting of someone, and I am sure the plans have yet to be finalized.

As to the XF, I have no doubt that Jaguar wants it to compete with all of those from the 5 to the CLS and so they may position it in a sort of intermediate zone. Well shall see the final results of it all though in time.
