German magazine, Autozeitung, has posted its results for a comparison test between the new 2009 Audi S4, the BMW 335i xDrive sedan and the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution.

The results have been, well, typical of Audi's S4 for 2009. The Audi S4 managed to place first above the BMW 335i xDrive and the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution. Audi's S4 also placed first in Auto Motor und Sport's comparison test against the BMW 335i RWD and also in Evo's comparison test between the two rivals.

The Audi S4 has seen its dynamic capabilities vastly improved thanks to its sport differential and ADS systems. The sport differential redistributed torque to the appropriate rear wheel depending on the condition and the ADS allows the driver to select one of three modes depending on his/her preferred driving style.

The S4 has consistently posted quicker acceleration results than the BMW 335i and serves up a package of power, handling, acceleration and fuel economy that truly makes it the standout car amongst its rivals.

It should be very interesting to see what happens when the American Car magazine such as Car and Driver and Motortrend get their hands on Audi's new S4 and compare yet again to the BMW 335i.
