150k for a car/thing/whatever that probably won't be worth 25% of that in 5 years - You've got to be kidding! BMW has seriously lost its way (sadly).

BMW X6M is 108,500 Euros in Germany but only 88,900 dollars in the US. The hybrid could be around 85,000 dollars.

Remember, cars in America cost a fraction of what they cost in Europe. I expect the American Models to start under $100,000.

No way in hell this thing will cost $150,000. I'll guarentee it. On a side note why is BMW making these stupid vehicles for? I thought they were getting and off brand and keeping the hybrid-electrical cars for that. They're going to spend money making these cars that noone will buy instead of investing it in oh i dont know maybe a M1 or their design team. Its like they are trying too hard to keep up with the trend that they are forgetting what made people love them. Stick to what you know,sometimes change isnt all that great.

LOL...So BMW think that they will sell that car at 85.000.00$ in US. Even at tha price for an Hybrid, it is too much. This car is already a failure...and I can predict that if they keep the current line of design, AUDI will take the advantage very soon. The performance of that will be horrible. A lot of weight and beside that almost useless cause if it is and SAV...there is a big problem with the space for your Sport Activity Gear.... Why they spend money in this Ninja Turtle but not in the M7?......I do not get it.

People, you all missed it! After you bought your ActiveHybrid, it is still going to spend half its time in the shop. And just like a commercial aircraft, they have to take it all apart and reassemble together from time to time. Then they still need to employ all those who's only duty is to explain to you their automatic transmission's supposed to shift the way it does. At this price, it will be the best bargin BMW.

based on the fact that the X6 M is 7k Euros more in Europe I'm guessing the X6 hybrid will start around $80k here, which is where the X6 50i, the car it's based on, tops out currently. If anything I'm surprised it's not MORE expensive -- if Lexus has shown us anything it's that people will pay stupid money for the privelage of driving a "socially responsible" uber expensive car, almost like it justifies the wanton wastefulness of the car in the first place (hello LS600h).

Poor engineering! 37mph in all electric mode! with a whopping 1.6 miles in all electric mode isn't what I would call an engineering masterpiece. The gas motor is great, I always compare the best hybrid, PML's mini cooper with 64o hp in all electric mode with an all electric range of 400km, now tell me how great this hybrid is, why do they bother making such an inefficient hybrid?This is Just for the rich people can pretend that they are doing there part for the environment.

I am very aware of what this BMW is, the problem is that the BMW doesn't know what it is, it would be better if they just got rid of the batteries and electric motor and made a gas vehicle, it would probably be the same on gas and would perform better.
