BMW European Delivery: Amazing Photos from Germany
The following photos that we will be showing you, are probably the most AMAZING shots we have ever seen from someone that picked up their BMW through the European Delivery program.
When we saw the photos, we knew that we have to share them with our readers. You know what they say: a picture speaks a thousand words. The photos were taken by Oleg, one of our readers, during his amazing BMW European Delivery trip.
Being a bimmer fan, I have to admit that I am hooked on the whole BMW ED program and my last cars have been purchased that way. I just can't see myself buying a BMW in any other way, the experience and the thrill of driving your brand new car on the no-speed limit Autobahn is priceless.
Oh...while saving money, let's not forget that.
Now, let's enjoy Oleg's gorgeous photos.

HAHA, I'm not sure making the European Delivery program an acronym really works in this case.

WHy doesnt Lexus offer Japanese Delivery?
Heres the reason,
A. Japan doesnt have the history Europe does
B. Lexus are marketed almost as European Cars
C. Not as many people "dream" of going to Japan
D. People will realize they could have gotten the same car in Japan as a Toyota for a lot less money

Maybe you should visit Japan one day you uneducated Mercedes fan. Japan is a hightech and highly advanced nation. People live in homes with electric heating, computers and electricity. From the looks of it Germans live in castles and drink beer.

Michael Taylor,
You failed actually even understand my post. I never said Japan isnt a high tech nation, it is much more than that. From a poor agrarian military nation to an economic powerhouse and leading innovator in electronics all within the last 70 some years (Japan didnt have much going for it until after WWII) All thanks to our Western influences.
You simply can not compare Japan to Europe in terms of art, music, fashion, history, architecture, food, innovation and achievements. Maybe you should travel there one day and then we will talk.

wow, you're a f***ing moron. How many World Cities does Germany have? Lets see:
New York
Tokyo
London
Paris
Looks like they're not there! Stop comparing a CONTINENT to a COUNTRY. Please, let me know the cultural significance of the following EUROPEAN countries:
Ukraine
Croatia
Belarus
Estonia
Bulgaria
Tokyo is the fashion capital of the east. They are the most technologically advanced city on the planet. Don't be a prick.

Wow, Someone is sure got offended here. World Cities include the following...
Alpha world cities
London, New York City, Paris, Tokyo, Chicago, Frankfurt, Hong Kong, Los Angeles, Milan, Singapore
Beta world cities
San Francisco, Sydney, Toronto, Zürich, Brussels, Madrid, Mexico City, São Paulo, Moscow, Seoul
Gamma world cities
Amsterdam, Boston, Caracas, Dallas, Düsseldorf, Geneva, Houston, Jakarta, Johannesburg, Melbourne, Osaka, Prague, Santiago, Taipei, Washington, D.C. Bangkok, Beijing, Montreal, Rome, Stockholm, Warsaw, Atlanta, Barcelona, Berlin, Budapest, Buenos Aires, Copenhagen, Hamburg, Istanbul, Kuala Lumpur, Manila, Miami, Minneapolis, Munich, Shanghai
I'll let the list speak for itself
Ukraine, Croatia, Belarus, Estonia, Bulgaria. Are all new countries and ex-soviet satellites. They are DEVELOPING nations. Culturally speaking they were once part of the Soviet Union, I'll let you do the research on them.
Im not the one being a prick here. Therefore I will not question you dubious level of knowledge on the topic at hand, much less resort to name calling. Hope you learned something today!

Germany has a number of world cities that are simply hardly mentioned. The most famous and important city would be Frankfurt followed by Berlin Hamburg, Munich and Stuttgart.
Now stop these childish "My country is better than your country" arguments.

An attempt to define and categorise world cities was made in 1999 by the Globalization and World Cities Study Group and Network (GaWC), based primarily at Loughborough University in the UK. The roster was outlined in the GaWC Research Bulletin 5[4] and ranked cities based on provision of "advanced producer services" such as accountancy, advertising, finance and law, by international corporations. The GaWC inventory identifies three levels of world cities and several sub-ranks.
Note that this roster generally denotes cities in which there are offices of certain multinational companies providing financial and consulting services rather than other cultural, political, and economic centres. There is a schematic map of GaWC cities at their website.[6]
Alpha world cities / full service world cities[7]
12 points: London, New York City, Paris, Tokyo
10 points: Chicago, Frankfurt, Hong Kong, Los Angeles, Milan, Singapore
The problem with your post was a blatant attack on Japan, because you hate their cars, (more cliche on this site that bandwagon jumping red sox fans in boston) Read above for the distinction between the top 4 alpha world cities.
I expect negative response.

Obviously, some of you haven't visited Berlin. This is one remarkable and top alpha global metropolis in every respect. Frankfurt has nothing on Berlin:
So, alpha cities:
London, NYC, Paris, Rome, Berlin, Tokoyo, Los Angeles, and Hong Kong
Depends what your definition is of alpha city: One can easily say Vienna and Munich should be on the list not to mention Prague, Madrid, Moscow, Bejing, Tapai, and others.

German culture allows for greater innovation. This is why you have a higher level of nobel prize winners than Japan. Japan's culture frowns on individualism something Germans, like Americans, is part of national culture.

Michael Taylor, Germany doesn't have a lot of natural resources but they're still the world's largest exporting nation so what do you think they're exporting? It's not consumer electronics stuff that you see every day but more like machine tools and printing presses etc. For example, I learned recently that a most of the big-budget movies made in the world are filmed with cameras made by the German company, Arri. I was surprised because I just assumed that because Japan dominates in the consumer camera market that they probably also dominated in the high-end movie camera market. German companies have also won Oscars for their sophisticated technical effects software programs.

Germany still the export achiever
By Geoff Hiscock
CNN Asia Business Editor
Tuesday, December 6, 2005 Posted: 0731 GMT (1531 HKT)
(CNN) -- Which of these three nations is the world's top exporter: China, Japan or the United States? The answer: none of the above.
World trade's quiet achiever is Germany, which regularly tops the export tables with its steady sales of industrial machinery, automobiles, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, advanced medical devices and information technology software and hardware.
From high-speed trains for China to luxury limousines for North America and heavy construction equipment for resources projects in outback Australia, German names like Siemens, Schering, Hochtief, DaimlerChrysler, Porsche, BMW, Volkswagen, Bosch, Hella, SAP and Deutsche Bank are global leaders.
**Last year, German merchandise exports jumped 21 percent to $912 billion, almost $100 billion more than the United States ($819 billion) and well ahead of China and Japan**.

Not only would I love to go back to Munich, I would love to live there...or many other wonderful places in Germany (like Freiburg!). Great country, and anyone should go visit and tour it. The rail system is superb and you can cover alot of ground in a week or two.
All this racial and international hatred allowed by autospies is bullcrap.
Every country has its good and its bad. If you don't believe that, you have no clue how the world really is and you should consider gettingout of your region to experience it.

Done it!!! It is an amazing experience and Munich is a beautiful city. The only problem is the wait! Approx five month timeframe. Ordering car is about three month's out and once pick up is complete, another two months (West coast people) for delivery to States. But the Welt is amazing as well as the whole experience! The best part is the delivery...walking down the grand staircase and at the bottom there's your new baby with a spotlight shining on it while rotating on a turntable. All that was missing was the choir.
Again I'm dying waiting for my new baby to be redelivered!!!

abcd, can I ask you what your nationality/ethnicity is? Germany, like all western European countries, has been making great contributions to math, science and engineering for centuries - well before there were many foreigners there. In fact, if you look at the details of the PISA international student assessment tests, you'll see that the immigrants there drag Germany's average PISA results down considerably (just a fact).

"Germany, like all western European countries, has been making great contributions to math, science and engineering for centuries -"
germany and other western european countries have been making great contributions to science since about 15-16`s century(renaissance) well after south-eastern greeks , when germans then... well , they haven`t even country . and egyptians , chineses - but majority of egyptians and chineses knowledge disappeared . japan started making contributions in 20`s century becouse previous they were isolated and lived in small groups . of course you`ll say that they only basing on german science or something another . germans basing also when do something new . indians have been basing also for a long time and can only do miserable tata cars , and lots of medical mans of course .
"well before there were many foreigners there. In fact, if you look at the details of the PISA international student assessment tests, you'll see that the immigrants there drag Germany's average PISA results down considerably"
i`m not saying about imigrants from poorer countries e.g. i hear many turkish are there . in german companies have been working many great engineers from whole europe e.g.Béla Barényi - without him mercedes wouldn`t "be" where it "is" now .

You cannot compare Japan to Germany. No other country in the world has contributed as much as Germany to the automotive industry. Germany has more noble prizes in physics, science, and math etc then Japan and all of Asia combined. Germany is smaller in population then Japan however its actually a bigger exporter then Japan, in fact its the world's largest exporter in terms of $ also most of those exports are height tech products like advance medical equipment etc… Most of Japanese exports are cars, verious electronics, TVs, computers invented in Europe or America which now most other Asian countries also produce. Japan perfects these products and mass produces them with top quality. With out a doubt Japan is a very high tech county unmatched in some industries like quality mass production and work ethics however its innovation factor is still fairly low.
