BMW M X6 rendering
Currently sitting atop BMW’s X6 range is the xDrive50i but if this latest rendering and several recent spy shots are anything to go by there may be a new top dog in the X6 lineup, and this one could wear an M badge.

After witnessing Porsche and AMG rack up thousands of sales with their respective Cayenne and ML models, BMW is now primed to launch its own high-performance version of the X6 SUV.

Speaking with Germany’s Auto Motor und Sport, the boss of BMW’s M division, Ludwig Willisch, revealed a host of new plans and some very odd omissions.

KZ258, you and I are on the same page. No company can afford to cut warranty today without losing sales. Warranties got better and better because car makers were building unreliable crap and had to offer the customer something to take away their fear of getting stuck with downstream repairs on a bad product after the warranty period.

My guess is that GM plans to make Saab more profitable quickly and then dump the brand, leaving someone like Tata to hold the bag. Once the Saab division is dumped, why would GM care about warranty on Saab cars. A better idea would be to make the Saab so highly reliable that it does not even need a warranty. Saab has some of the most comfortable seats in the industry.

lol...I think you accidentally left the wrong comment on the wrong article. Were you typing the comment Word or something?

aha...but you're right. GM would lose less money by advertising a better warranty than saving the money on replacing engines for free.

WorldofLuxury, you are absolutely right. I posted this on a page regarding Saab but when I submitted it, my computer screen flashed for a fraction of a second on this BMW article and my Saab comments ended up on it. A cyber-gremlin is at play or something. I can't explain it.

I'd rather spend 75k on the SRT600 than get the M X6.
