I hooked up my accelerator to my brake lights. I hit the gas, people behind me stop, and I'm gone.

BMW M-Zero concept: BMW M6 meets Aston Martin DB9
Mael Oberkamph, a German photographer and a photo rendering artist, has worked up what he calls the M-Zero. The car is supposed to take major inspiration from the BMW M-Series and is a mix of the BMW M6 and the Aston Martin DB9.

Oberkamph says that the car could be considered as an equivalent of an Audi R8 competitor for BMW. With that we’re guessing it could either incorporate the 5.0 liter V10 that produces 500-hp from the M5 and M6 or even uprated version of the new 4.4 liter V8 engine found in the BMW X6 xDrive50i that produces 400-hp.

Either way, we like what we see even though it will probably never see the light of day.

Doesn't really look purely BMW since it's a bit soft around the edge but I guess that was the point.

Not bad.

EI34...Really? You actually made your persona as an impersonation of someone else (EL34)? That's as weak as circus lemonade.

The rear end looks more like it's from the Honda Insight

You'd have an instant droptop, in a rollover accident.

It may be against the general consensus, but I actually like the way the real 6-Series looks. It's beautiful in a way that is bold and menacing.

I dont like it. Although its only a concept I cant help but wonder whether or not this BMW's way of attempting to copy other automakers. The design is terrible, and doesnt fit in with the brand's image (in my opinion) Im sure many will like it, I for one do not.

Read the article. It's not a BMW concept, just a rendering by a talented artist.

Youre right. I didnt bother to read it since I figured it would be a waste of my time. Thanks for the insight, it sure is reassuring to know this has nothing to do with BMW.

To me, BMW's design benchmarks rest with the 850csi and the Z8.

And I guess I'm in the minority that likes this rendering. Instead of being a larger car though, it might work better in 3 series size.

Comparing it to the R8 however, the R8 is far more attractive.

Definitely have to agree with the 8 series design, but that was a totally different designer....Klaus Kapitza.

the front looks good, the back is odd. Wasn't BMW suppose to come out with a racing version of the M6? Or since they have a race version of the M3, the M6 GT has been shelved.

He should definitely submit this to Pontiac. This could definitely be the next generation Pontiac Solstice.

I think we definitely need a 850 ressurection. Could you imagine an 850 with the TT V8 and maybe an 860 TT V12 or V10. I mean if BMW gave us a 135 and a 335 I don't see why they can't pull off an 8 series despite the nice 6 series.

Stick any car design from any other manufacturer with a BMW front grille and the BMW fanboys scream originality !
