If you read the article, the RS55 is the engine/car model by Racing Dynamics, the tuner, not BMW's model name.

But check the picture (actually, more accurately a rendering, since the donor vehicle isn't available yet, of course). The car is stunningly gorgeous. And the tuner's credentials are well established, so the anticipated performance is likely to materialize. BMW super mechanicals with top Italian tuner flair. Can't beat it....

Will (& Grace): a simple observation, yes. However, that was the point, it is a simple fact that BMW did not name this model the RS55, just like they don't name anything that Alpina does. It's quite comical how defensive you get when someone points out a mistake you've made. And I suppose the "(imberlake)" was supposed to be an insult - I'm pretty sure he has a better lifestyle and a bigger garage of cars to choose from than you do.

Not exactly. If BMW even DOES copy Audi and build a supercar, it wont' be called the M10. By all accounts I've heard, it will be called Z9, because it will be a successor to the Z8.

But if my predictions are correct, the R8 will still be faster, and less expensive to boot.
